Okay, Uh I guess Nintendoland which only has most of Nintendo's flagship games contained in it does not count. Too many people dismiss Nintendoland as a minigame mash. Metroid and Luigi are way worth your time....NSMB is cool too. NSMB is MUCH better than the game on Wii. Both games scored VERY high on IGN....Zombi U is great too...I am just saying that there are games on Wii U, and that includes GREAT exclusives.

D_RoyJenkins4057d ago

Those games are alright if you're a Nintendo enthusiast, the rest of us don't care about them

MurDocINC4057d ago

Nintendo take your time with Zelda.
But you better pump out more mini-game games, my gang is bored of nintendoland, we clocked hundreds of hours on it already.
We need more Mario party, wii sports and nintendoland!

imXify4057d ago

4/5 years for Skyward Sword was way too long. I hope they wont take that much time.

zeldafreak4044057d ago

Well this is nintendo first step into hd era so gotta givem time

D_RoyJenkins4057d ago

Lmao I'm sorry, what? They should be given a pass because they're late to the HD era? Thats a sad excuse

Great games on Wiiu is a subjective matter especially since games like Zombie U didnt light up the review charts. Mario was just another Mario game like you can find on the Wii. Nintendo land lol come on man ppl dont even mention that game! Either way im not trolling just saying you say "Great" like its a fact if you said good or decent then i would have been like you have a point.

Zelda.... Its shame that Nintendo showed a tech demo using Zelda tht looked cool but they have since stated that the new Zelda would be more in vain of the last one released on the Wii making it a cartoony affair. They show a tech demo of something they werent going to realize and to me thats the problem with Nintendo they talk up their systems but in the end stick to 2d side scroller affairs and/or cartoony games because the systems are not all they make it seem. They tout innovation but their games are rarely innovative and haven't been so since the 90's. The casuals have left to the next fad and the hardcore are already up to the Nintendo slogans of play it safe and stick to hyping up the same old ips.

And yes to the blind fanboys my comments will be construed as trolling but in fact its just the way i feel about the situation and many others given Wiius slow sales as of late. Most ppl here that have turned their back on Nintendo grew up loving Nintendo so this has nothing to do with brand loyalty but being tired of the bs.

Seriously when does the defending get tiring and ppl call Nintendo out on the bs they do? Yeah yeah we all love Mario and so forth but come on man turn it up and along with those good established ips start churning out some great exclusives that innovate as well.

Sorry if i offend anybody. I know how personal ppl take their console of choice and get mad when ppl critique.

If its any consolation im a fan of the ps3 but im mad at Sony for not following through with full remote play between vita and ps3 (you see i critique mine too lol)

D_RoyJenkins4057d ago

Well said, I feel the same way

Nintendo please take your time and make it awesome, rather than quickly and not awesome. Thanks.

Honestly I really changed my mind on Fi with the remaster because they didn't make her interrupt your gameplay every 5 seconds, that drastically changed my views on her

Inverno76d ago

Technically she's in ToTK but obviously can't take any other form than the sword she was made into. Also the companion feature has been done plenty of times in Zelda, I don't think it'll add anything new. If anything should be brought back it should be the Minish.

Directionless Modern Zelda Should Return to its 3D Roots

Matt from We Game Daily writes "The Legend of Zelda series has gone in a different direction. One which, try as I have, I just can’t get on board with. Here is why I think Zelda should return to its 3D roots."

Amen! A good, tight, Zelda game with a focus on dungeons and puzzles. Let people have the new style Zelda if you gotta, but let us have the OoT style games too. That's not without precedent either, the handheld 2D Zelda's in the style of A Link to the Past etc have coexisted alongside the 3D Zelda's before

FinalFantasyFanatic107d ago

As much as I like BoTW, TotK, I need my traditional Zelda games as well, I could not endlessly play the open world Zelda games, plus it's harder to keep those fresher than the traditional games.

Eidolon106d ago (Edited 106d ago )

BotW was just as fresh to the franchise as OoT was. TokT was great but the next LoZ would have to move from that formula to be fresh again. There's only so much they can do with the hardware. I think they focused too much on making the world big instead impactful. I felt the world was sort of empty and repetitive in TotK, sure there was a lot to do but no more difference a Ubisoft game..

anast106d ago

I wouldn't worry too much. Nintendo knows what they are doing.

Ristul106d ago

Wind Waker had a perfect balance of open world and a cool, well hand-crafted design. Maybe try to keep the open world but put in effort to make more memorable story driven quests and locations.

I like it would also be cool if some created Dragon Caesar in the game I would love to watch the two going at it.
