Ha. I read the headline thinking it was for a "doom" article for an low-selling or upcoming console. Goes to show how the trends on this site affect you I guess.

Anyway, on topic this is pretty cool. It will be interesting to see how they balance this character with the rest of the roster.

You almost jumped the gun and went into defense mode, good to see that stealth edit. ;)

Doomsday is a great addition to the roster. Too bad the game mechanics look like they just copied and pasted stuff from MK vs DC. Not to mention some of the finishers look uninspiring.

Actually the stealth edit was for a typo I missed, smart alec. Troll a little harder please.

Why did this get approved after another article containing doomsday gameplay was approved over an hour ago?...anyhow, i wasn't impressed with the character i saw. It seemed like his move list is limited but powerful, similar to Zangief i guess.

i still wanna know how they're planning on balancing the game, the thing that killed Superman, or put him into a healing coma if you prefer that version, how is anybody gonna fight Doomsday?

how would a non powered character like Catwoman last more than a nanosecond against somebody like doomsday?

i know they can balance the game from a gameplay persepctive, but when they've got well established characters with such vastly different strengths, i don't see how they can balance it and still be true to the source material.

maybe this is just the comic book fangirl in me talking, but i just can't get over that.

not saying it'll be a bad game, it could be a great beat em up, but as a lifelong reader of the comics i just have to ask how it's going to work.

It's a fighting game, logic goes out the window, especially comic logic...by your reasoning than nobody should be able to beat superman without kryptonite in their hands, unless you're doomsday...where is the fun in that??...
This game showcases everyone's powers and abilities in an over the top way. If they followed comic fan fair then everyone that punched superman would break their hand or something. You could easily beat bane by pulling his tubes, and so on...

I think what you're looking for is a DC role playing game that would keep the comic folklore.

good point.

i've always said realism should take a back seat to gameplay, i guess that should apply here too.

i should probably go play some more DCU online. ^_^

I think that all gets explained in the story because for intents and purposes Superman should be able to pick up Green Arrow and crush his windpipe like a bendy straw.
