Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix Demo Gameplay

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is coming to Japan next week on March 14th but gamers in North America and Europe will have to wait until this fall to get their hands on a copy. Luckily Square Enix had a demo of the game to play at a SCEK event today.

It really does look very well done in terms of re-texturing and clarity. Also love the triangle button being used for actions now, as well as the camera being mapped to the right stick. Can't wait to get this game when it comes to NA. :]

could it be possible that this is running on the crystal tools engine? Retextures, 60 FPS, higher res, smoother animation... and is that motion blur i see during the fight scene?

will get this but still doesn't make sense how SE packaged it, it should be KH1-2 and than 2nd pack can contain other ones.

or maybe make one with 3-4 games and charge full $60

either way looks great can't wait to play this, missed the original release so this will be brand new for me, have heard nothing but good things about the series

The other games packaged take place between KH1 and KH2 storywise, so it makes sense to have those in this package. Obviously I would rather get both 1 and 2 but I think its about time and of course extra money.

Is it just me, or does the platforming look a little bit improved? I remember in KH1 that Sora used to jump and then just...drop. Which sometimes made the platforming hard. He seems to jump a little better now.

Well that doesn't make much sense, since the jumping issue is a part of the game design and has nothing to do with the player. It's not a big issue. Just something that could be slightly improved upon for the HD release.

First remix was in English, this HD 1.5 remix video is played in Japanese.

Might in other words be possible to choose language!
I'll keep my hopes up for now.

If you change your system language it might change for you too like in Ratchet & Clank.

thats crazy, what can't they apply proper anti aliasing, there's jaggies all over the stairs and on most straight lines

you can play it on pc in native 1080p at 60 frames for free if you own the original, and there are ZERO jaggies

if you own the original game, you just pop the disc in your pc's dvd drive and play at WAY higher resolutions than the ps3 will ever do with massive anti aliasing impossible on ps3

If this is an indication I'll be very happy with FFX HD even though I played it on PC recently. I could play that game another 10 times easily.

Cant believe its been years since I played KH1 and KH2. Still cant believe we havent gotten a great conclusion to this series.

Anyways, game looks great. Wonder if SE will finally add Sora to PSASBR as a code like Zeus and Isaac for GoW: Ascension.

only on ps3 this is the best magical disney / ff series out there field with nostalgia. you ps3 haters will never be able to play this unless you cough up some dough like you should of had long ago for a ps3. i mean you aint buying games for your x360 so might as well put that saved cash towards a ps3 and ps4. stop buying all that crap cod dlc for real.

Played this all the time when I was younger. This is one of my favorite series on PS2!
I got all the keyblades, beat Sephiroth (he was damn hard) so I must get this baby when this comes to Europe!

I would love it if Square Enix would just come on already with KH3... They started working on it how long ago? And keep pushing it aside for crappy side-story spinoff games that aren't even on a console.. Please, just focus on Kingdom Hearts 3, I am begging!

Perhaps that has something to do with it being the "Final Mix" version of Kingdom Herats. They made quite a few changes in the game, it's great we will finally get an English version of the extended edition of the game.(I haven't played the "Final Mix" version so i don't know, just guessing)
