Allow the medium to mature. How many books and films have scenes in them that are sexist, brutal, racist, violent, sick disgusting, and outright pornographic. etc etc.

You don't see people constantly berating the medium, and climbing atop their soap box to give social commentary on the morality of films or books.

Somehow we trust adults to be able to watch films and read books, and to distinguish between fact and fiction, reality and fantasy. But apparently, somehow video game journalists missed that class.

The controversy was not in the scene itself, but in the off-color achievement that read as if it was created by some sexually frustrated fratboy.

I'm guessing you've never played a God of War game before if you think that this particular scene is somehow different from about two dozen other, similar scenes scattered throughout the franchise. Hell, the scene with Poseidon in God of War III was more brutal than that, and that was like 15 minutes into the game.

Hell, there are kills on cannon fodder enemies equally as gruesome as this one, if not more so. If your main issue with the trophy is that it is preceded by an especially violent kill, you can rest assured, this is the GoW norm.

A more important question is why not? It's a simple pop culture reference in a portion of the game that exists outside of the game's world. Is it in bad taste? Sure. Though, I'm sure I could find a handful of trophies I've earned over the years that are equally in bad taste.

Honestly, the issue isn't worth the attention it's being given, one way or the other. The worst part is that many of the people who are making such a big deal out of this are doing so in ways that give feminism a bad name, much like PETA often does with animal rights. Of course, this is just the state of games media these days, so in a week or so we'll have something new to fuss over.

There's a scene where Kratos is in a brothel and one of the prostitutes tries to seduce him but it's actually a fury so he kills her, a.k.a bros before hoes, because she was pretending to be a hoe, get it? All the pious prats making a big deal out of this and knocking off points in the reviews should suffer the same death as the fury did in the video above.

(Not sure if that's exactly how it happens because I haven't played the game for myself yet but I was told that's what happens by someone who's played it).

Sessler might feel mortified by the trophy use of “Bros before Hos” for killing a female creature, but in reality if the cards were flipped and you were rewarded with a “chicks before dicks” trophy for killing a male as a woman, no one would really care. Just as within the newest Tomb Raider you are awarded the trophy of “Widowmaker” for killing 40 male enemies, or in Tekken where the character Nina has a move to simply kick the opponent in the balls. This is not to say that everyone should be free from their own moral compass if they want to be, but simply keep equality what it needs to be, and view the world through multiple angles – both men and women are targets of senseless acts, meaning none of us are special.

Orkos chooses Kratos instead of his mothers hence bros before hoes trophy. Plus women doesn't even die and the so called being brutal, that wasn't brutal at all. Face stomps her and than grabs her than shoves into the spike thats brutal? What Kratos did to Hercules now that was brutal. Adam was really off in this part of his review.
