PlayStation 4 Teaser was YouTube’s most watched video in February

In a month that’s usually dominated by Super Bowl ads, all eyes were on the PlayStation 4 announcement instead.

Yeah it is! Pretty impressive feat. It's quite astonishing how gaming always appears to be at the forefront of the YouTube main page. I thought it was just my browser tailoring suggestions to me but was surprised when a non gaming work colleague's YouTube main page was showing a lot of gaming related stuff.

The official ND you mention got almost 25K views. Pretty easy to look up on YouTube. So as to the ND conference you cite, it WAS NOT the most watched video on YouTube in February. Wouldn't expect it to be since it was in January.

@Maniac, that exec working for Microsoft should have been more professional then. He should have realized that anything he said, would have been said as if he were an ambassador for Microsoft, because he is. If Sony had any employee talk about the next Xbox in such a way, the exact same reactions would have been taken from the Xbox community. So don't try to act all superior.

Seriously, it is great news for Sony as I wish them the best with the PS4. I just love that new DS4 controller, so sleek and seems very comfortable to hold. Very looking forward to E3 and see what other surprises and games Sony will show.

It's things like this that should remind people that it's not all about iOS & tablets! I think if Sony launch at $400/£300 or very close to it, I think it could sell close to PS2 numbers.

I watched various clips and parts of the conference itself many times. Those clips are good enough to watch over and over. That says something about the potential in the next playstation. Lets hope for the best :)

Yeah, sorry there's no stopping the PS4. It's a developer's dream to work with, provides instantaneous gaming (no more sandwich preparation during game downloads/installs), it's high powered, has free online that will be a step up from what PS3 has provided, a diverse selection of exclusive games, a more reasonable price than PS3, and one of the fastest online gaming networks with the opportunity to define cloud gaming on consoles.

To sum up and really get the point across, PS3 was the fastest selling console of this generation, despite releasing last, despite it having poor marketing, despite being the most expensive, despite being complex to develop for, despite having an online network that can be described as an afterthought, despite the industry-wide doom and gloom campaign it had going for it. The competition won't have the luxury of these faults Sony had this gen, this time around. PS4 will go places... unless they don't show the outer casing in the next month... oh wait! ;)
