Sega gets over 12,000 likes for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F in 13 hours

"With Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F being a niche music game and all, you’d think it would get a fairly subdued response from diehand Vocaloid fans. Instead, it’s received 12,331 “likes” as of 10:20pm CST on March 7, 2013. I’d say that’s a a pretty awesome showing."

SEGA should really look to at least release the PS3 and PSV version via PSN.

Whats so intriguing about this game?? Isnt it like a guitar hero game but with a pop anime style? Not in the least bit interesting to me but im all for localizations of eastern titles.. Bring it on & may the force be with u

It's nothing like Guitar Hero. If anything, it's probably more similar to DDR, but even that's inaccurate.

What I find most appealing is the in-game editor. You can import your own MP3s and create new songs and music videos using the characters. These can then be shared with other people who own the game.

Pretty sure that Shenmue would get more 'likes' if Sega gave it a chance.

It might, but look at it from a financial standpoint.

Shenmue 1 only sold a little over 1 million copies. Shenume 2 sold even less than that. So for as much as fans speak about "we want Shenmue 3", why should they make it?

Do I want it? HELL YES!! I still have my copy of the first one on Dreamcast. But the fact is nobody gave a damn about the series. And when you're talking about a game that cost $70 million(at the time) to make, I wouldn't be too quick to make another either if hardly anyone bought it the first two times around.

Sega's great IPs simply don't sell that well in the West.

Shenmue which has already been mentioned, recently Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles and Binary Domain are fine examples.

Some of the best games i've played this gen by far. I would give my left nut for Shenmue 3 but most Sega games get a cult following and they just don't sell. Sad times. :(

if only these weaboos were as dedicated when it comes to quality but all they do is copying the fads from Japanese otakus instead of developing their own taste (fk globalization!). But anyway, thanks to them anime is ruined too with everything now being moe and ecchi series. =/

Sorry for the rant but I'm still butthurt over the fact that we'll not get Yakuza 5! ;(

they should do one for Yakuza 5

A Look at All of the Rhythm Games Available on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Despite its somewhat anaemic lineup of backwards-compatible titles (unusual in light of the genre’s strong pedigree on Sony consoles), Vita’s selection of rhythm games is highly impressive in the modern market with genre favourites like DJMax, Hatsune Miku and Taiko no Tatsujin all present and plenty of quirky oddities like Deemo, Love Live & Persona thrown in for good measure. You’re definitely going to need to try your hand at importing to get the most of the genre here, but that shouldn’t be an issue thanks to region-free hardware and easy-to-grasp gameplay."

10 Franchises That Flourished on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "the handheld was unable to attract certain types of software – western AAA development quickly evaporated, as did Sony’s own support, because there weren’t enough consoles out there for such titles to be profitable. But that doesn’t mean that every publisher failed to find success. Indeed, there are a number of franchises out there that have been able to appeal to the Vita’s niche and which have seen positive sales numbers and critical reception, leading to them becoming mainstays on the handheld.

It’s these series that I intend to examine in more depth this article – what they are, what entries we’ve seen, what success they’ve had, and what it’s meant for the console’s future. I’ll be using known sales figures where possible to back things up, hopefully demonstrating that the Vita has been a solid home for a number of great series despite its otherwise weak commercial performance on the market."
