that they didnt announce that at the sony show last month. It certainly wouldnt hurt anything.

I myself did purchase one the same night after that conference and Im sure others would have as well if there had been an official price drop announced.

It wouldn't have really helped without a solid software launch to back it up.

It made sense for Japan considering a bunch of Japanses games are comin gin the next few weeks, Persona 4 Golden was released not to long ago, and Soul Sacrifice is coming soon as well.

There's nothing really standout coming here in the US. It makes more sense to do a cut around September when Killzone Mercenaries, Tearaway, more PS4 connectivity, and whatever E3 surprises they have are announced for the Vita to take full advantage of the price drop for an entire holiday season, versus 2 or 3 weeks for the month of March.

They may have to suffer until E3, but if they can build up anticipation during E3, Gamescom, and TGS then this will be their chance to finally get the Vita the numbers the hardware deserves.

So sales indicate how good a system is? LOL! The PS VIta is the biggest piece of shit on the market then. And the Wii, 3DS, and DS are the best systems out right now.

Price cut without game/service release does not work much. The next big release title is soul sacrifice which will be in April. Also sony's financial year end at March and they are not willing to take much loss before this financial year end. My guess of the price cut will take as early as in April. Or most like in E3, which they can announce some new titles to build some hype to sell the system.

I disagree. The Vita has a solid lineup. The software is not the problem, only the price of the console and memory cards.

I like FPS as well (Far Cry 3, Metro 2033, BF3), but there's more to gaming than just 1 genre I'd think.

Yes wii-u and vita sales were poor and shows the old consoles are still dominant in USA with just one nintendo/handheld game in the top 10.

Doesn't make sense to have a US price cut when NEW potential hardware moving software isn't there.

March is a good month for Japanese Vita games, which is why it made sense for a price cut and look what happened there, and with more Vita games coming throughout the month of Japan those numbers should stay pretty high for the next few weeks.

Here in the US it would have been a 2 week high, and quickly dropped back down.

September is a better time frame for a US price dorp, when Killzone and Tearaway release, PS4 right around the corner for PS4 & PSV integration, all the major game conferences will be over, and more software will be announced and releasing for the handheld.

To forward your point, if you look at history, the 3DS' price cut was concurrent to the release of two Mario games that same year, both of which sold over a million units before said year ended.

Wow only 8,302 sold. You would think after the wildly popular Wii people would be flocking in doves to the Wii U.

Trying to predict which direction the gaming market will go is a lot like the ecomony, no one knows for sure, where it going.

As the Japenese saying goes, "Saving face" thats what they need to do with a price cut along with new software titles.

As for Mario 3D or new Zelda most likely not for a couple years, of course after the expected delays(right).

If the Wii U doesn't have any quality software at the moment, along with a high price and very little marketing - Of course it'll be overlooked. People are going for the consoles that have the most influx of games, and are cheaply priced. This economy is rolling in it, you know.

Once the Wii U get some good software moving (which starts later this month) sales will increase. The amount of sales we're seeing this week, compared to the amount of sales by the end of the month will be a pretty good difference. The Wii U is getting:

- Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted U
- LEGO CITY: UNDERCOVER

~ That's enough to spawn some healthy sales.

Hoping your right.. I personally like the Wii U. Being able to add your own harddrive and old remotes is great. I'm sure over time Nintendo will make it an interesting experience.

I plan to buy one, just waiting for the OS fixes, maybe price cut and more software titles.

Nintendo can be compare to Disneyland. Both iconic symbols known worldwide for the family friendly atmosphere and interaction you can experience with them.
