"EA Sports currently publishes games for several popular sports, including the likes of football, hockey and basketball." What?!?! I am sure EA cancelled NBA Live and haven't brought it out for 3-5 years, even if they do bring it back, 2K is going to beat EA in the basketball series.

pierce4062d ago

NBA Live 13 was cancelled but EA still holds the license. They're also promising an NBA Live game for 2014 so we'll see how that pans out.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney4061d ago (Edited 4061d ago )

Chess club 2014!

Or MLG 2014!

DeadlyFire4061d ago

They always play the NBA 2K demo and say damn our game can't beat this and drop the game. Its not their fault. They will try every year.

Great until the micro-transaction's start in about the third instalment of the game .

caseh4061d ago

At least the 'improved AI and up to date roster' is included in the copy+paste game they previously released.

MoveTheGlow4061d ago

Pay ten bucks to unlock the second inning!

I'm glad I'm not a fan of most recent AAA games. If I was, I'd be pretty angry about being fleeced at every turn, like some sort of sheep with regenerative powers.

rainslacker4060d ago

We could pay off the refs in a game of Madden maybe.:) Think outside the box EA.

PS4isKing_824061d ago

Hey EA, how about a next gen ssx for the ps4 launch this year? One that's more closely related to the ps2 games years ago. Fireworks, painted snow, killer soundtrack, the whole nine!

jony_dols4061d ago

In fairness to SSX 2012, it still had a 'killer soundtrack'. I'm still hoping that EA release a SSX Vita....

Oschino19074061d ago (Edited 4061d ago )

Maybe we finally see a NFL Scouting Combine franchise to fill the huge void between NCAA and Madden or a Jose Canseco's Bum Fights series.

Seriously though I could see a reboot of Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge and a NBA D-League game released tri-annually.

EA Delists Latest FIFA Games From Prominent Digital Stores

Following the release of EA Sports FC 24, the publisher seems to have removed FIFA 14 up to 22 from major digital storefronts.

MrNinosan203d ago

And as a Journalist, you should know why.
FIFA ain't allowing the games on the storefronts without EA paying for them. Pretty obvious.

Rols203d ago

Looks like the FIFA licensing deal has expired. No mystery about it.

You gotta love EA. They've always got their finger on the pulse of the gaming community in regards to the wants and desires of the players /s

Loot boxes --- "surprise mechanics"
NFTs ----------- "virtual creations"

just_looken320d ago

Well its sports gamers so they will buy the nft's very fast.

BrainSyphoned321d ago

EA: We need a new way to be voted the worst company
Nike: Have you tried child slave labor? No?... well how about a Jordan NFT. We will even throw in Chinese LeBron NFTs for free!

potatoseal321d ago

Can they even read the room? The world wide gaming room filled with gamers. No one wants this. They know they will probably get away with putting NFTs in their sport games.

XiNatsuDragnel321d ago

EA and Activision are competing for worst company fr.

mariopasta321d ago (Edited 321d ago )

How could they not know this is the wrong ass move. If EA survive this which they will, they are seriously untouchable. Too many casuals play their games and dont know what happening or even give a dam

JackBNimble321d ago

How is Nike still surviving?

People talk about justice this justice that but are so self absorbed that they will continue to support these companies so they can have their neat little things.

At the end of the day , everything the plebs say is all a lie.

Good idea but I expect the NCAA and college boards to swipe away all that money for themselves.

badboyz09351d ago

This means 2 things
1.Ultimate Team is Confirmed
2.They have some competition from another Studio

anast351d ago

They need to start paying college players.

hiroyukisanada351d ago

Bro, pay as much as you need to and don't be greedy, cuz I NEED my college football game back 🤣
It was the ONLY sports game I bought annually
