Microsoft continues to dig their own grave

A current generation system that has been out the longest is the last to announce a new system. If you don't see a problem with that, well then something is wrong with you.

Lol the internet is once again making stuff up. The 720 is doomed even though it hasn't been announced yet and is going by rumors. As far as the article goes the author is basically disgruntled that MS is still silent as these negative rumors continue to come into play.

People realy don't understand the waiting game apparently? MS will talk when ready.

And releasing last and announcing first is any better? All this does is two things. Makes Sony look like the PS3 is irrelevant and not going to make it a couple more years. Makes MS look like they have no desire to move on to Next-gen because they think the 360 is doing so well.

Sony entered first and announced last, last-gen and they were just fine. Had a horrible start, but the ended good.

First off: what do Sony's actions have to do with this? If anything, Sony's continued dedication to the PS3 rather disproves your theory of "a couple more years." They've frequently made it clear that they'd support the system for ten years. That means, roughly, from 2006 until 2016. That's at least three more years from November. That's a LOT of support for your console from last generation; so far, we've really only seen Sony give that kind of support.

Second: what Sony's move says is that they're looking forward. But even while they do that, all the rest of their moves say they're not gonna forget about their current products or customers. I mean, what does it say about Nintendo that they released even earlier than Sony?

Oh, that's right: nothing by itself. Like anything else, there's plenty of other context needed to see what "it" says.

See, Microsoft's other moves contribute to this feeling of "digging their own grave," not just this ONE thing. After all, it DOES say "continues," does it not?

How about looking at everything next time, instead of just what you want to see?

Take your own advice, considering we know absolutely NOTHING about the next xbox that has been confirmed. I swear, the biggest Sony diehards have been on top guard since the PS4 reveal. Why not wait untill MS shows off what they have before we begin another console war.

I think Microsoft is planning on making a "very" cheap but powerful console and they are trimming all of the fat.

(Probably taking leads from Wii's success despite not being able to play physical movie medias-)

I bet 720 will be more digital focused - look for Cloud Storage of movies and better ways to stream from mobile to the console.

+ Blue-ray is bad (good but bad)
- It would make the console units more expensive.
- They would have to pay Sony to use it.

Selling over 20 million unites to date, which means 1 out of 3 people who own an Xbox has one. That's why they bother, it's successful. Sure, we may not like it since we prefer more "hardcore" based games, but doesn't mean millions of others don't enjoy Kinect.

Also, now you know one, I own a Kinect. Granted, I only use it when my nephew and nieces come over or my wife want's to do her work out crap. It's not really my cup of tea, but I realize I am not the only person in the world.

1. A constant online connection mandate
2. Kinect 2
3. No trade ins
4. Less power than the PS4
5. Less IP's than the PS4
6. No backwards compatibility
7. Higher online gaming fees
8. More dashboard adverts

M$ need to come out from the closet and show what they got. People are worried their running scared!

Who exactly is worried? I am not. I think Sony fanboys are trying to create a perfect storm on this site. I have also read articles that debunk everything you just listed (hence why they are called RUMORS). Is it really hard to just wait until they show it off before we start talking smack?

its so sad to see Sony fanboys gravitate to negative rumors about a system that hasn't even been announced yet. the year old rumored specs wouldn't even make sense to talk about this much later point in the game, because nothing would be the same now because the leaked specs (if they were real?) and the long time frame that Microsoft had to correct and change the system specs. so I again I say, its pointless, but sad to see these fanboys flock to this nonsense. but then another part of me laughs to know the reality of why they do it. the first reason is to try to turn as many Xbox fan (who don't really know what to believe) as possible, over to the side of PlayStation, so they can be Sony fanboys just like yourselves. the second reason is because of the fear of not knowing. (why else would they want Microsoft to show off its true system specs for something that they've already fanboy written off in their minds?). no one knows the true,current,final stage specs of the next Xbox, which leaves the fear of the guessing game. the guessing games hurts a lot because Sony along with its fanboys know for a fact that Microsoft has the funds and the resources to make a much better system. plus its always been developer friendly (the developers have always loved developing on Xbox consoles because of how PC like they are, which makes for easy and fast development. so this is nothing new to Microsoft and or the developers. its just new for Sony). this whole not knowing fear is about like going to the doctor for an hiv/aids test after being with a bunch of nasty people. that wait for the results is a killer huh? well this is the same feeling for Sony as well as its fanboys. but the fanboys try to keep their spirits up by flocking to these lame, year old specs to make themselves a little better about the strong possibilities of being dead wrong while all the while knowing that these rumored next Xbox specs just don't make any sense. kind of like the ps4 system specs. hmmmm????? :-/
