PlayStation All-Stars Fans Campaigning for Crash Bandicoot and Spyro DLC

Push Square: "PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a fine game, but there are some major omissions in its roster. The loveable Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are both considered PlayStation icons, but unfortunately they belong to Activision. That clearly prompted some serious negotiation issues behind-the-scenes, which resulted in the protagonists being dropped from the mascot mash-up’s line-up. But now, through the power of the Internet, a group of fans are campaigning to get the stars in the game as DLC. We spoke to one of them in order to get the full story."

Its an activision licensed product though so they need to go through the process of getting permission. And as its activision I'm sure they are asking for a nice bit of money to use him in the game...

They shouldn't of even made this game untill they had permission to use all the characters they wanted....and by characters I mean actual PS all stars

Cloud, Squall, Crash, Spyro, Lara Croft, Tombi, Solid Snake, Croc, Rayman etc

It's not like we needed the game this gen...we could of waited if that was the case.

But this whole "Oh it's not their fault" excuse is beyond a joke now...we don't know how much Superbot tried. Look at the new Dante model for example, what if Superbot got him cheaper or for free IF they used the new Dante.

People forget that Omar teased Crash for months after All Stars was revealed....right up to a few weeks before launch by then he would of known if he was in the game or not since it went gold then.

This game could of been so much more...

I hope to god they are remembering to campaign for the OLD Crash and Spyro....not the new versions because this whole thing would be pointless if we don't get the PS versions

They had to go to each developer and ask for the licensing for various characters. Even Ratchet, Drake, Radec, etc. Any developer could have told them no, but they didn't, so to say that the game shouldn't have even been made unless all your favorite characters made it in is an ignorant statement if I've ever heard one.

Petitions are useless because companies never look at them and dont care about them, if Activision wanted them to be in than they would be in.

The only petitions that worked and will ever work is the Dark Souls one.

Actually decent company's will look at petitions if they get enough support. Crytek have commented a lot on the timesplitters campaign which is now 80,000 strong I believe.

Yeah the Playstation needs Crash back not only in All Stars but he needs to be owned by Naughty Dog again or at least a competent Sony developer.

Activision don't even use Spryos name in the Skylanders franchise anymore. It's basicaly become just Skylanders.

Crash i can see, but I think Spyro is a Ubisoft character now? Not sure if he will come. NOt sure who owns license now on Crash too :S

No, they're not disagreeing with facts. You're literally wrong about everything you've posted. Both Spyro and Crash franchises are owned by Activision-- Skylanders games have been coming out for three years in a row now.

Naughty Dog didn't "start it all," either. they created Crash, but Insomniac created Spyro.

Sorry I should've specified that naughty I meant Crash, I just assumed that since Spyro was now Actision (I said Ubisoft because I was talking to a friend on steam about Watch dog LOL good call on that)

So yes Spyro is Acti, didn't know crash was as well.

There's a reason Nintendo screwed around with Microsoft and sold them Rare but NOT DONKEY OR DIDDY KONG HAHAHAHAA. Sucks to you Microsoft. Seriously though, Nintendo always had the wisdom to retain their mascots. Think about it, Starfox could've been sold after so much time off, but Nintendo haven't. Kid Icarus was left in the dust for more than a decade, and yet Nintendo didn't sell him either. They haven't even sold Metroid or Samus rather, the reason for this is Nintendo ALWAYS THINKS ABOUT ITS FANS AND THE FUTURE. UNLIKE SONY WHO SAYS, "IF THE GAME/MASCOT ISN'T MAKING US S'LOADS MONEY, SELL IT. WE HERE AT SONY DON'T CARE IF IT'S THE GREATEST GAME OF THE YEAR, IF IT DOESN'T MAKE MONEY, SELL IT." IGN thinks Zeus and Isaac may be the final DLC characters for the game. I hope SSM supports Allstars with more add-ons. .
