Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC: At Last, The Perfect Goodbye

Forbes - It seems like only yesterday we were sitting around debating whether or not the ending of Mass Effect 3 was misinterpreted, bad or simply the worst. It was one of the more fascinating controversies in modern gaming history, and a debate that has stuck with me to this day.

I still am only halfway through my insane playthrough so it may ne a bit til i play this, unless its something i should do with my main character, being that everyone is alive (almost). I guess i will see if i can ever seem to get to these games that still sit there on my shelf.

this seems like it really should have been in the main game, the way the whole squad interacted with each other makes vanilla ME3 look lifeless.

I'm playing through the trilogy for the first time. How could it not already look lifeless to you? So far I'm enjoying it enough to continue but I can't play very long without getting a little bored. Not what I was expecting after all the accolades.

yea i had the same feeling with mass effect 1 haven't got to 3 yet.

The perfect goodbye shouldn't be something I should have to pay for on top of my original purchase

I voted agree by mistake. The "perfect goodbye", as you say, doesn't exist because you can't please everyone 100 percent. The original ME3 gave the player plenty to do and was entertaining, whether you liked the conclusion or not. Your suggestion seems to imply that this DLC is out of place, and I disagree. I loved Lair of the Shadow Broker, and I'm sure I will enjoy this piece of DLC. And your phrasing "shouldn't be something I should have to pay for" is completely ludicrous, as you don't "have" to pay for this DLC at all if you don't choose to. And as it is the final piece of DLC for this generations Mass Effect series, I find the setting very fitting and look forward to completing it over the course of the next few weeks. Mass Effect is one of the rare games that I return to from time to time. I find it infinitely replayable, and even after multiple playthroughs of the 3 games in the series, I still find a character saying or doing something I've never seen before and it completely floors me. That is great game making, and it is rare in the industry. To suggest that a piece of DLC is not worthy because it wasn't included on the disc when you bought the game a year ago is the height of implausibility.

I didn't know Forbes did propaganda pieces for video games. I mean economics, yes. But video games?

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
