How Green Throttle’s Arena will surpass Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo

A wireless controller, an Android tablet, and the Green Throttle Arena app might just be the new face of console gaming -- and they might leave traditional consoles in the dust.

Definitely a neat idea. I wonder how this, Ouya, and all the other alternative stuff will shake out later this year vs. the next Xbox and PS4.

Look at the title. It doesn't say if, it doesn't say it might, it says it will. I don't care what the article says later, the headline said it first.

Personally I am sick and damn tired of these idiot reporters from other failed ventures getting together and repeating the same despicable behavior that made their last outing such a monumental failure in journalism as well as having perform a complete disservice service to the gaming community.

When Green Throttle disappears into obscurity I want everyone of the morons at venturebeat to link arms and jump off a damn cliff. We're sick of you, get it you imbeciles?

These are the same pathetic hitmongers that were talking about phones being the death of consoles, now it's tablets. What's next, tic-tac-toe and checkers?

I spoke about serving the larger community rather than their own bloated egos. SERVE THE COMMUNITY AND STOP CRAPPING ON US WITH THIS NONSENSICAL CONJECTURE AND EXERCISES IN DESPERATION THAT COVER FOR YOUR LACK OF INSIGHT OR ANYTHING RESEMBLING THE INTERESTING. ADMIT IT, YOU ARE BORING.

If this pathetic example is the best you can muster then by all means let your site die already and gamers everywhere will be the better for it. You Rus McLaughlin should be ashamed. You would be better using a name like Mr Big than attaching yourself to this ridiculous excuse for a game article.

Bubbles. Now, if only we could get N4G, at the least, to stop allowing such drivel...

Keep moving. Nothing to see here.

A games system that operates from Android will never compete with a hardcore console. Can you see a Halo, Uncharted, Cod or Mario type of game on it? A real AAA title? Never going to happen. Mobile gaming is great, but it'll never give the types of experience consoles can, even if they're upscaled to a tv.

So damn tired of people saying mobile gaming will surpass console gaming....
it will never happen

Words, Words, Words, Claims, Claims, Claims, Boasts, Boasts, and Boasts.

Gameboy #1, Gameboy Color #1, Gameboy Adv. #1, DS #1, DS XL #1, and 3DS #1...

I don't know who I should listen to...

(Anyway,
I wish Green Throttle luck, I think the market is BIG Enough to support many systems.
I also think that ideas like these will shape and spur-on the Next ideas for Nintendo's Mobile and Console devices- They recently merged the 2 departments...)

Too soon to tell, but if the PS4 doesn't sell well neither we may head that way.

Hardcore Gamer: Chronoblade Combines Sidescroller, Fighter, and RPG On Mobile

Chronoblade fuses three genres: sidescroller, beat-em-up, and RPG. Taehoon Kim, CEO of nWay, told us that he got inspiration from games like Diablo, Dante's Inferno, God of War, just to name a few. So while moving about the world, it feels like an isometric sidescroller, but once you encounter enemies, it turns into a 2.5D beat-em-up. You'll use your weapons, abilities, and magic to cause as much chaos as you can while blocking and dodging will keep you safe. When you go into the menu, the RPG elements make their way into the game. Stats, skills, abilities, and more can all be min/maxed to your heart's content. It's an interesting combination that makes for a unique experience.
