Nice update. I will enjoy Spec Ops: The line. And damn The Cave came into the IGC fairly quickly. How well did it sell on the PS3?

This is a great time to pick up Sumioni: Demon Arts, I wanted that game to go on sale for a while now. Happy to see it for $7 dollars. Sony needs to release a bigger memory card size for the Vita and/or drop the price of the 32GB card, I need another one. I'm running out of space.

Hey guys, America is getting EVEN MORE stuff than what is found in this article! On another page also found in Sony's official PS blog, it says were also getting these ADDITIONAL games for free to celebrate the Vita's 1 year anniversary:

Wild Arms (PS one Classic)
Patapon (PSP)
Piyotama (PSP)
Patchwork Heroes (PSP)

(So, that's a total of SIX Vita-compatable games this month (when combining Disgaea 3 and Tekken 6) AND THREE PS3 games).

That's a CRAZY total of 9 games!!!!! Finally they heard us when we were upset about the stuff EU was getting vs the crap we were getting.

Here is the link:

Those 4 games are not part of the IGC. So, I don't think you need a plus subscription to get those games.

Which is a good thing for those that don't have plus, but want some free games. And for those that don't want to renew their subscription, they still have access to those games.

matrixman924060d ago

lol...celebrating the vita anniversary by giving away games that werent originally made for vita...awesome

FamilyGuy4060d ago

Wild Arms eh, i might just download that

Smashbro294060d ago

I'm confused, you need to use the Vita to get these additional games?

thorstein4060d ago

@smash yes... those are for vita.

Silly gameAr4060d ago

I think Wild Arms is a PS1 classic that can be played on the PSP, Vita and PS3. I hope it can can played on the PS3 anyway.

guitarded774060d ago

Wow... this is the first month that I don't own anything on the list. Good thing I have a 1TB hard drive coming in the mail tomorrow.

MuleKick4059d ago

Dammit. I quite literally just bought Spec Ops. Maybe 5 days ago. Ah well. I guess I'll try to sell it to someone.

grailly4060d ago

stacking was free on launch with PS+, this is not that surprising.

-Alpha4060d ago

Stacking was great, would love a sequel

ABizzel14060d ago (Edited 4060d ago )

For once the game of the month (Spec Ops), is one I already have. Time to sell it and download for free.

typikal824060d ago

Hope you have the HDD space

I_LOVE_MYSELF4060d ago

Download for free?
Yeah, I should pay for X-box live gold so I can play online for free.

badz1494059d ago

Fail troll is FAIL!

XBL Gold doesn't give you the game Spec Ops: The Line even if you pay the fee. You still need to buy the freaking game!

ABizzel14059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

@GametimeUK

That's right you do have to pay for PS+, so I guess I just bought Spec Ops for about $1, seeing how we get to download on average 4 games per month.

Still a good deal to me.

Oh and actually I still had the game in the plastic, so I took it back to Wal-Mart and got me a $30 Gift Card that can go towards another year of PS+. Now that's GOLD worthy to me.

DA_SHREDDER4060d ago

Kingthrash3604060d ago

I just bought it two weeks ago...........dam.....great game tho...but dam...smh

unchartedxplorer4060d ago

Damn. PS plus is looking more appealing by the day.

-Ghost4060d ago

+, haven't had any complaints so far as being a member since July 12'. I hope maintenance could hurry up so I could get another year(with 3 months free)

mi_titan274060d ago (Edited 4060d ago )

definitely time to upgrade to the 32gb vita memory card! all those discounts are awesome.

mi_titan274060d ago

i saw that price last night, just gotta wait till payday i hope it stays on sale.

Snookies124060d ago

Even my 32 GB card is full already... Lol

born2live4060d ago

I know! I've got a 16 gb and a 32 gb, and they are both full, and a lot of it is ps+ stuff, and a lot of free games... When will they sell 64 gb cards? Actually, make it 128 gb and I'll get it, even for $250...(although it would probably be more expensive than that...)

Spec Ops: The Line was super dark.

Incredible story.

SheenuTheLegend52d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Yi-Long53d ago

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons53d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor53d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens5252d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey60252d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor53d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B52d ago (Edited 52d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.

Spec-Ops: The Line - A 'Typical' Shooter With Horrifying Hidden Depths

A stellar work of sobering proportions, Spec-Ops: The Line is an outstanding third-person shooter that on first glance conceals its hidden depths.

It's really a shame that the Spec Ops reboot didn't continue into a series. Obviously the story in The Line is over. But each game could have delved into the different psychological effects of war as well as exploring different takes on Heart of Darkness. In a sea of mindless military shooters it was nice to finally play a shooter that actually had something to say.

EazyC72d ago

This game was the last of a dying breed, a signifier of where shooter games (and videogames more broadly) COULD have gone if developers didn't pivot so hard into the online services, micro transaction, season pass, yada yada.

New narrative territory exploring the actual art form of gaming and storytelling within it.

Yui_Suzumiya72d ago

A brilliant depiction into what war can really do to a person and doesn't glorify it in any way.

Psychonaut8572d ago

I heard this game might be getting delisted, which is a travesty, this is one that should be preserved forever

Puty71d ago

I think the title was unfortunate - it was when Moder Warfare got big so I assumed it was yet another clone. Fortunately, because ps plus I checked out this gem of a game.
