in games its part of the fun

are we expected to play all business like?

@zerocrossing
that's bigotry and its a different thing and totally wrong

what meant is stuff like MAV kills in BF3
or pushing a sniper off a building (MAV again)
or playing hit and run with the week punch till time runs out in SF4

zerocrossing4070d ago (Edited 4070d ago )

No, but you are supposed to play with a certain level of consideration for other players, having fun at the expense of others doesn't strike me as an integral part of gaming.

Harmless trolling is fine, but insulting other peoples race, gender or sexual orientation is just plain juvenile.

(Edit)

Well people actually do these things to troll other players too, but yeah you made your point.

Almost Two-Thirds Of Gamers Admit 'Trolling' Online

And that's only the people admitting to it...

TimmyShire4070d ago

Exactly! We've all done it, it's just part of the fun. It's the people that are mean about it that it begins to annoy me.

Neixus4070d ago

but then again, 90% of them thinks trolling means to tea-bag someone in Halo.

Snookies124070d ago (Edited 4070d ago )

I used to troll back in the day, then I hit puberty...

kwyjibo4070d ago

So did I, but it was an arrow to the knee that did it in for me.

WipedOut894070d ago

Everyone does it, don't they? Even if you play nice 99% of the time, there's always that one time you mess with someone just because a 'hilarious' (read: not really that hilarious) opportunity presents itself to be a massive dickweed.

Dailynch4070d ago

Get rid of handles, make everyone use their real names and would someone please enforce age ratings on games already. If you're 12 stop playing CoD!

HarryMasonHerpderp4070d ago (Edited 4070d ago )

The PS4 will be locking in on your identity so we will see if it stops people trolling and more importantly stop kids playing 18 rated games.
Trolling can be funny though, even if you get caught out on the receiving end you can just laugh about it.
Depends what the trolling is.

Nothing is going to stop kids from playing 18rated games

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
