I hope Phantasy Star and Soul Sacrifice get the hardware moving (with the price cut).

i cant wait till wednesday to see the next media create sales

I see great things in the ps vita's future, great things!!! I hope that along with a price slash, Sony and third party developers announce new games for the Vita this year and next year. My wishlist is:

Uncharted 2 Vita
God of War Vita
Infamous Vita
Assassin's Creed 2 Vita
Grand Theft Auto Vita

Neckbear4064d ago

I'd rather the Vita have imaginative and original games instead of most likely lackluster and tacky entries in well-established home console series that most likely will get a lot of things wrong in execution and even concept just there for the sake of being there.

Godchild10204064d ago

I don't know if you played Uncharted Golden Abyss, but the game was great minus the touch controls. But the touch controls was there because it was a launch title and they wanted to show off the features of the Vita.

The God of war games on the PSP were great (Ghost of Sparta being the better of the 2, IMO) and if you played any of them, you would like to see another one on the handheld platform.

Assassin's Creed on the Vita was great, it's just the Online portion of the game that was a real let down. I think with how the Vita version did/doing, Ubisoft will make a better game. Just think of AC1 to AC2.

I enjoyed GTA on the PSP and its GTA, so it will do well no matter what.

Some games are great on the big screen, but others are great on the go, but I guess that is where remote play will come in when the PS4 launches.

megamanX24064d ago

yeah those kind of games are exactly why the vita is dying.

miyamoto4064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

to all sales figures obsessed people particularly Nintendo fanakids:

play games not sales figures
that should be you reason for being a real gamer
stop giving video gamers a bad name

a_bro4064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

its "dying" because it needs a damn price cut on the hardware and the memory cards, although its really not, especially when the PS4, when launched, is going to be there to compliment the vita.

the games are there. there have been some pretty damn good games that released on the vita so far, except for the pieces of crap that was CoD and Resistance. glad Nihlistic is gone.

Oh_Yeah4064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

Yeah I'd rather not have simplified versions of action/ shooter console games on the vita, I'll take my console games on consoles.. If i want to play those games on vita I can just use remote play from ps3/4.
...Rpgs like soul sacrifice and games like tearaway is what I'm looking forward to.

eferreira4064d ago

I don't understand that logic. "I'll take my console games on consoles." Why buy a 40 hour rpg for a handheld but not have a shooter on a handheld?

Not hating on your comment just find it weird that people buy psp's, ds's and others for these huge rpgs that I think would be better on a TV.

Oh_Yeah4064d ago

@eferreira I know it doesn't make the most sense but I guess it was pokemon that started the trend... If it weren't for pokemon I and many others wouldn't have got into handheld gaming as kids with the og gameboy and advance...Most of the games I got for handhelds were rpgs so I kinda look at them as mainly rpg machines because often then not the other games lacked alot of content compared to the console games while the rpgs were just packed. That's not all I want for the vita I'm just saying original ips that arnt based on console games is what I want to see.. Doesn't matter the genre... But of course a good amount of rpgs is a plus.

jon12344064d ago

those are already games we can play on our ps3s, i want NEW games NEW IDEAS , NEW charcters.. NEW!

Qrphe4064d ago

I just wanna see tons of Japanese titles localized. That's what made me enjoy the hell out of the PSP.

well as far as i know sony bend is making another AAA game for the vita and will also have multiplayer.... the question is what game is it and when will be it officially announce? perhaps in e3...
and maybe some vita games that we unexpected to come...

Godchild10204064d ago

Those are all the wrong, but good questions. The real question is when will it be released? We can get all that information tomorrow and not be able to play it until next year or later this year. It's the waiting time to play/purchase the game that gets to you, not the waiting for the game to be announced.

sherimae24134064d ago

yeah ur right oni-chan, but i want to know what game is it
do you think its another uncharted?
and how does it long to make a AAA game for the vita?
sorry for asking ^_^

Godchild10204064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

It could be another Uncharted, maybe a Syphon Filter or a new IP. I would take a new Syphon Filter or a new IP for this year and maybe another uncharted next year (One year between Uncharted games on the vita is too much).

I think it could be a year or two, since the Vita is a lot easier to developer for than the PS3. But it all comes down to, if they already had a concept and story before completing and shipping Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Killzone Mercenary has been in production for about 2 and a half years (Going off, being hinted at in 2011), but that is coming from a developer that hasn't worked on the Vita before and having to modify the PS3 killzone engine to work on the Vita, but then you got Tecmo, who is porting DOA5+ in like a little less than a year. And Nihilistic who made BO:Declassified in maybe 6 or so months.

It all comes down to the developers, how many staff members are working on it, concept, story, quality, engine and many other things.

Disclaimer: This is based off of opinion and not to be consider a fact or true.

talocaca4064d ago

I DEMAND a God of war for Vita!!! I expect good numbers from Soul sacrifice....but with about 1 million Vita's in Japan it won't be huge.

Very interested in attach ratios and how much hardware it moves!!! the bundle here is a pretty good deal!!!

himdeel4064d ago

I want God of War and inFamous on the Vita. I too am also very excited about Soul Sacrifice.

bacrec14064d ago

Dear Vita,

You're an awesome powerful handheld, but where are the games!!

The Best MMORPGS That Aren’t World of Warcraft

Some WoW-like MMORPGs are better than others. Here's a curated list that offers a wide variety of games that let you play with other people but have something unique to offer.

WoW is a mess and it will continue to be a mess. Still, the less-developed MMOs are going to have trouble gaining a fan base because they lack content right now. Even if people do flock to FF14 or BDO, they'll go back to WoW if they fix enough features or give players a shred of hope.

PS Vita Exclusives Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice to Have Servers Shuttered

Sammy: "Two high-profile PS Vita exclusives, Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice, will have their servers deactivated on 24th December, 2021. Both titles, published by Sony in response to its loss of Monster Hunter exclusivity, were built around co-operative play, and maintained relatively dedicated communities to this day."

Oreshika is also getting it servers shut down too. Big shame for these games. Honestly some of Vita's gems.

Snookies12873d ago

I'm surprised these were even still up! Loved the Vita though, had some great times with that handheld.

XxSPIDEYxX873d ago

These games deserve sequels or remakes. It was Soul Sacrifice that even got me into Monster Hunter.

Rangerman1208873d ago (Edited 873d ago )

Honestly surprised they never got ported to the ps4 or even PC. Since Sony won't give the vita another shot, wht not make a Vita collection? Could have Soul Sacrifice, Freedom Wars, KZ Mercs, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Murasaki Baby, etc. As a way to conmemorate the Vita.

CDbiggen872d ago

Freedom wars servers are still up? Holy shit.

jimbo6597872d ago

This why you never should have achievements/trophies locked to online only features.

Didn't know people still played this game

Jiub980d ago

Fewer people for certain but still a lot of people.

gleepot980d ago

Nah, I'll keep playing the game with the millions of other people. The writing on the wall says "game is not dead" even though people have claimed it is for 15 years.

Jiub980d ago

I'd guess that people are going to filter out but then come back for the next expac when the turmoil is over. I do worry about content delays, though.
