This Dante is going to be around for a hell of a long time and whether you like that or not, I can promise you one thing; He couldn’t care less.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them
2.
Dmc.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
NVIDIA continues to add games to GeForce NOW. This week, Devil May Cry 5, Gears Tactics, and The Crew Motorfest lead the charge.
What is up with the media again trying to hype this game up? This the third article today. Maybe MGR having blockbuster debut week sales has given them hope and motivated them to give one last push to this game. The game has flopped and sales have hit rock-bottom in the just the sixth week (ONLY 12,000 units globally). It is over, let it go now. Nobody cares for this trash.
Great game/

Lol You can keep trying to sell a dead horse , he still wont run . Game is done , kaput , finished and soon to be eighty sixed .
Its only fans moved on already and its haters still spits on it
Loved the reboot .... loved the game ..
Hi there. Your article doesn't seem based on fact. What incentive does Capcom have to continue this series when it will probably never even break a million sales? It sold 12,000 copies this week or so. Anyone paying attention can see it is clearly a flop at this point. Original sales expectations were four million, then lowered to 1.2 and now it looks like even that is quite unrealistic. How does this mean the new Dante will be around for some time like you say? It seems that gamers care even less for the new Dante than you say he cares about them. I thought this game was dismal as a DMC. Kinda fun for a bit though. Main character is a chode. MGR all day! Now there is a great game and showing to be quite the block buster as well. Nice try though with the article. A bit silly at this point though if you look at the numbers.
