The upcoming release of the next instalment in the Sly Cooper franchise causes Reuben to return to the first game in the series, and remember how much he loves it.
Ever wondered what writers do when they're not writing? Probably not, no. But on the off-chance you have, here's what we at VGI have been playing over the last week.

I really want this. I only ever played and beat the first one a long time ago and I really enjoyed it.
I am almost done with Sly 2. Then going to platinum Sly 3. Gets me prepared for Sly 4.
I'm only 52% through 1st one but dang collecting those bottles is addicting I want all the moves
@ motorola. Ohhh sounds great cant wait now
The HD Collection is my first exposure to Sly, Bentley, Murray and the sexy Carmalita (seriously, she's HOT!!), and I'm loving every minute of it.
The first game had me banging my head in frustration a few times due to the limted health (fighting Clockwerk with no 'horseshoe' protection saw me sweating profusely!!), but both sequels improved on the first immensely. It's soooo easy to spot all the things that ultimately led to INFAMOUS too.
All in all, superb value, great looking games and WAY BETTER (in my view) than just playing the originals on a BC PS3.

If you want to take umbrage with anyone for starting this fade of repackaging last generation games then I think Sony is a good place to start. With the HD remastering of God of War they managed to give the people exactly what they wanted whilst not having to spend years on R & D and expensive large team development.
Well the masters are here again, this time it’s the turn of inFamous creators Sucker Punch’s Sly Cooper series of games. These titles established Sucker Punch as a reliable and high class developer. Along with luminaries like Naughty Dog, Guerrilla and Insomniac, Sucker Punch managed to push themselves to the forefront of Playstation 2 development with the Sly series.
Didnt know they called it Sly Racoon in the non-US territories. Here in Asia, its called Sly Cooper, just like the US.
