Aliens: Colonial Marines Review: Gearbox Drops Another Power Load on Gamers [MediaStinger]

MediaStinger: "After numerous delays, the game Gearbox claims to be unrelated to the cancelled 2001 Alien: Colonial Marines on PlayStation 2 is finally here… and still manages to look like something that you would see on the PS2. All joking aside, the new Aliens: Colonial Marines isn’t that bad looking, but when stacked up against other recently released games and the original E3 2011 demo shown off by Gearbox, it probably should have shared the same fate as the previous Marines and just been canned by SEGA."

Lol at gearbox drops a power load on gamers. Too bad this game turned out the way it did. Had potential to be awesome.

think there will be much difference between the wii-u version and the ones currently available?

And why is it that the wii-u version didnt release at the same time?

I didnt follow this game very closely but I have since seen the before and after vids on youtube of what was shown last year (which could be cgi stuff like the KZ2 reveal) and what has finally been released.

There is quite a bit of difference a year makes. I can see the console versions maybe ending up like they did but the PC version should have been much closer to the target render they showed last year.

I heard even the pc version sucks so i doubt the Wii-U version will be better. Probally just adding the motion tracker to the gamepad and other touch screen gimmicks no one will care about.

If it was £20 on release Maybe it would have sold shit loads...

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
