March of the Vita – PSV Could Have Best Month Since Launch in Japan

Tons of new software releases, combined with a slashed hardware price and new bundles will likely lead to a big sales performance.

Hopefully the spike in psvita sales in march would increase developer support for the psvita, make 2k develop bioshock and capcom making a monster hunter and resi evil vita and increase the overall quality of vita games creating more sales worldwide

If these sales do good enough there would be literally no reason they won't drop the price in other places in due time.

Yes yes I know they said they aren't but the PS Vita's price will drop eventually there is no doubt about that, as every device, console or handheld in the world has over time.

Those lucky Japanese do have a lot cooler Vita games than we do that is for sure.. -_- clearly that is helping.

Don't be surprise if Sony announce an PS4/PSVita bundle with KZ:SF and KZ:M. In the price range of $500-$600, which is clever because you will give developers an even larger install base.

Also it would promote cross-platform play with selected titles with bundles including PS4/PSVita versions coming in the future....

I think a PS3/Vita bundle is more likely earlier on with a PS4 bundle coming much later.

I personally think that would be wasted potential. The PS3's hardware is not powerful enough to allow seamless gameplay between the PS3 and Vita.
I own both btw, and ive tried remote play for GOW collection and it is laggy as hell.

Sony should focus on PS4 - Vita connectivity instead.

Agree. But i think its not gonna happen soon (and at that price). I think a few years down the line when both the PS4 and Vita's manufacturing costs are significantly lower, Sony will "relaunch" the system or release an bundle SKU that will compete with the Wii U.

Think about it, just like the PS3's lifecycle was extended with Sony releasing the Move to compete with the Wii. The PS4's install base would be a lot bigger then and the Vita would be relatively "dirt-cheap". This would allow Sony the opportunity to bundle the Vita with the PS4, making it the official controller for the system.

Remember that Sony has already done this kind of strategy first with the PS1 (from the original controller to the first DualShock controller).

If Sony does this, they would effectively extend the PS4's longevity and standardize the use of a touchscreen controller on all their systems --- allowing for new ways to play and eating away at the Wii U's marketshare. Wii U games would be easily ported to the PS4, plus games would be a lot better because of the more powerful hardware and the better touchscreen controller (sorry Vita's OLED capacitive touch beats Wii U's crappy resisitive screen)

Anyway, I don't think revisions will be coming any time soon. And if they did, what would they change?

They could be making it smaller... and faster.. I mean Id like for the vita to be smaller, and the analog sticks could be improved along with the buttons, they're just too small

I personally wouldn't mind TV out and Dual Shock support for playing the games on the TV. Only downside would be games that take advantage of the Vita's hardware might have issues.

The rest of the system is OK to me though. It feels solid, and while my carpel tunnel gives me problems playing sometimes, it's mostly comfortable to use.
