Hideo Kojima on Metal Gear Rising, Ground Zeroes and Next-Gen

The complete interview, only at SPOnG. "Kojima's passion as a game designer - which can put him at odds with his role as a studio leader and producer - can be seen whenever he talks about the industry at large, or when he jokes about pitting Gray Fox against zombies.

Both of these subjects, and more, were discussed at length to SPOnG, focusing on the Metal Gear character of the moment - Raiden. The legendary developer was present to talk about the Metal Gear Rising's development - both at Kojima Productions and at Platinum Games."

You see, That's why i prefer the first version. It felt more special and more exciting because it was original. That's why they need to team up with PG . They make the game more realistic and by doing that we will get a lot more options and new interesting things like cutting everything in an open world just like what it planed to be. PG job is to make the gameplay fun with Kojima team vision..

It would be one of the best games i ever play !!! >.< ..

Kojima also need to trust his fans. They will buy ground zero whether it's headed for mature or not. MGS4 was mature for me in it's time so it's a normal move to evolve and take the firt step to make part of gaming serious..

With Ground Zeros I would like the single player experience you would expect from MGS but with the new Metal Gear Online I would like a separate co-op campaign an well as online versus.

Good interview from sponge.

Metal Gear Rising is a must. Just give it a try and you love it. Its a good spinoff.

Can't wait for MGS5

auen14069d ago

ha! my man, kojima san, talking about schedules. how many times was mgs4 delayed? O.o

Energy-HL4069d ago

Most likely get slated for this... I think Kojima should of considered giving the studio the task of making Rising to Acquire the makers of the original Tenchu games and Shinobido series.

Energy-HL4069d ago

Not hating on rising btw, not played it yet maybe I will like it.

RyuX194068d ago

Oh they made Way of the Samurai? Eh I'd rather they not touch MGR to be honest. I haven't played Shinobido though so maybe their ninja games are better.

RyuX194069d ago

Have they made any games this gen?

Energy-HL4068d ago (Edited 4068d ago )

Yes I believe they have made Shinobido 2 for PS vita, Way of the Samurai 3 for 360/PS3, Way of the Samurai 4 for PS3, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins for Wii. There are a couple of less known titles as well.

TheBardsSong4069d ago

Is it just me or is this the CVG interview with the CVG questions removed?

Goyougoodthing4069d ago

It was a round-table interview with several journalists in attendance, including this one asking his own questions.

ZBlacktt4069d ago

" Actually, I wasn’t too worried about [how Platinum would handle the franchise]. I was more worried about how users would react. But, because this is a spinoff - it’s not a numbered game in the series that features Snake as a main character - I wanted the team to be able to relax. "

Like we've been saying all along.

I'm guessing OD will also be coming to PlayStation, as the trailer states for all players lol

Love to know how much he works on a game. 10% effort --- 90% credit

Ever see the credits of a Kojima game? The guy is a machine and does so much for his projects.

Trilithon67d ago

hes a decision maker. people don't always agree. but at least he has made a decision. imagine how many execs wanting the main characters outfit to have flowers cause their daughter likes flowers. this the power of being independent. only the real fans breathing down his neck

I really really miss MSG. For me its not a PS gen if there is no MSG. So this news is a God send for me.
