When adventurer extraordinaire Lara Croft raided her first tomb back in 1996, she brought with her an exhilarating feeling of isolation and discovery. Over the years, Lara has continued to venture into parts unknown, taking dark turns and frequently tangling with the supernatural as the series evolved alongside the burgeoning third-person action adventure genre. The gameplay of this series reboot takes a few cues from a current titan of the genre--Nathan Drake and the Uncharted series--but don't let that familiarity put you off. This origin story is a terrific adventure that balances moments of quiet exploration with plenty of rip-roaring action to keep you enthralled from start to finish.
Tomb Raider I, II, III Remastered is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Lara Croft is back in a classic remaster of the original PlayStation 1 hit title. Is the remaster any good though?
We've gone on many adventures with Lara Croft. With another reboot in the making, Wealth of Geeks felt it was a good time to go down the nostalgia rabbit hole and remember the best of those tomb-raiding thrills.
For me, Legend should be alot higher (along with the other two ). Shadow, I enjoyed it, but has too much has fluff, as modern games tend to do. Playing the remastered series, and apart from the controls, is very good.
I really enjoyed the first 2 games, Legend and the first of the reboots and the rest I didn’t get into so I never finished.
Completely subjective list. I really liked Underworld, I preferred Lara's design. That said I loved the horror/uncharted feel of the reboot. I think all the TR games have strengths and weaknesses. None are objectively better in every way.
Like the film or television industry, the world of gaming has seen its fair share of reboots over the years. While some of these video game reboots have had
This is better reboot than DMC reboot.Anyway, To be honest, I never doubted this game for a second. Crystal Dynamics are brilliant devs, and It's good to seem them handle this franchise so well. I be picking this up first thing tomorrow morning, and I'm going to enjoy it to bits.
Strong score. A score that increases my confidence in the title. This title could have ended up being shocking. I hardly expect it to be the title it once was, but that is okay and understandable. Games that score around the 8 mark usually spark the best discussions in the online communities. Can't wait to give it a try.
WHOA, just got back from Easton Mall in Ohio, didn't think the review embargo was lifted today. 87 metacritic across 27 reviews. Congrats SE and CD.
I'm sure the game is good but its kinda biased that GS and IGN got women to review the game. Probally boosted the score up a point at least.
Can't wait. only one more week now. I remember playing this at the Euro gamer Expo last year. Was a lot of fun, really immersive.
