10 PS4 Games That May Get Announced At E3 2013

"Sony have taken the plunge, seizing the moment with their PS4 reveal last Wednesday. In a climate where gamers are becoming increasingly impatient waiting for next gen, Sony have caught onto this momentum well. Sure, we've had the Wii U already, but it doesn't really feel next gen yet, does it?"

I stopped scrolling or rather 'sliding' through them because its annoying to have to do that just for a couple of lines.

Anyway I hope Uncharted 4 gets announced but will that happen considering ND are focusing fully on TLOU? I heard they have two teams but Im not sure...

All I know is that I will be buying Infamous which looks phenomenal and I hope Killzone is bundled with the PS4 that would sell consoles like hot cakes!!

gameseveryday4071d ago

Here are the 10 games:

Uncharted 4
New Final Fantasy
Little Big Planet 3
ThatGameCompany Title
Bayonetta 2
Persona 5
The Last Guardian
Battlefield 4
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Reboot
The Phantom Pain

This year's E3 will be the biggest. I am sure many of the games above will 'atleast' be hinted.

Thank you :D. +bubble TISLAM ;)

@Rashid Sayed

Nice list....

I also want to add a few...

Sony Santa Monica ...

Also GT6 cannot be counted out...But they may wait until TGS...

ND will be showing a new game, that's for sure, but will it be UNcharted 4? Perhaps a new IP? we shall see...

GG might also show there new IP in some form...

MGS5: Phantom Pain

Ready at dawn new game...

I think MM will out-source LBP3 down the road. And will unveil there new IP, show it in it's full glory at E3. Which will be my 15th E3.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney4071d ago (Edited 4071d ago )

They better show deep down.. I need to see if it's real time or not. I want to believe!!

MikeMyers4071d ago (Edited 4071d ago )

1. The Last Guardian
2. New Final Fantasy
3. Battlefield 4
4. New title from Media Molecule, not Little Big Planet
5. Another upcoming project from Quantic Dream but only a tech demo
6. GT6
7. New IP
8. New IP
9. Next generation Playstation Move game that shows off the new camera from the creators of Sports Champions
10. A huge title with a partnership from a 3rd party publisher

gta28004071d ago (Edited 4071d ago )

Some might call me crazy..but is it possible they could make God of War Ascension and Last of Us PS4 ports? Those are day 1 purchases for me but I'm gonna try my best to hold off on any PS3 games from now on because of the backwards compatibility. I hope at E3 they can let us know if we will have BC or not.

SaturdayNightBeaver4071d ago

Amazing list.. Also i think The Phantom Pain is actually MGS5 or GroundZeroes but nvm we will see..But Legacy of Kain damn.. if that game comes out i will buy not one PS4, i buy 5 of them!!

Naughty Dog is split into two teams. One is developing The Last of Us and the other is working on some next-gen project. So yeah, Uncharted 4 could possibly be announced at E3 this year.

shivvy244071d ago

by the time PS4 comes out , ND will have had 2 years into development on their unannounced ip , uncharted takes them 2 yrs so we could possibly see UC4 at e3

Electroshocked4071d ago

Agent... Where the hell is Agent?

Electroshocked4070d ago

@shivvy24 Man, I was so excited about the concept of Agent, I hope it's not cancelled. Hopefully it will be an exclusive for the PS4.

SheenuTheLegend4071d ago

they can also release gow ascension with much much more graphics....
they are already great but it will be great to see greater

Bayonetta 2 will remain a Wii U exclusive. Nintendo are funding it... duh.

ame224071d ago

Platinum Games made an update not too long ago hinting that it might go multiplat.

MasterCornholio4071d ago

Didnt Sony fund LA NOIR? And didnt that game go multiplatform? If thats true than the same can happen with Bayonetta 2.

I can guarantee that if it happens the Wii U version will get some bonus content like LA NOIR on PS3.

sknygy4071d ago

“We’re a development company. Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it. So if Nintendo says ‘We’re putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360′ it’ll come out on those platforms…So ask Nintendo about it.” Hideki Kamiya

...so no.

DigitalRaptor4071d ago (Edited 4071d ago )

Talking of L.A. Noire, I think that Brendan McNamara and his team who made that game will show off their next gen IP - Whore of the Orient - at Sony's E3 presser. At least it would be nice to see it revealed.

Since the PS4 is so developer friendly, and so many publishers are on board, the possibilities are pretty much endless as what could be shown. Most likely are Sony's own first/second party developers.

Ready At Dawn should be 'ready' to show of their new PS4 IP. And then there's Santa Monica's next gen IP, which should be interesting as it's meant to be a fantasy game.

A new Media Molecule IP, more than anything! Those guys have bottled creativity stored somewhere, I swear.

Uncharted can take a leave of absence. Even 2014 is too soon, in my opinion. PS4 needs to shine in other areas and a break would give UC4 the anticipation it needs as a next gen game. Just like God of War III came out 4-5 years into the PS3's cycle, let people anticipate it for longer, that way people will want it more when it comes out. Plus, I want to see a new IP from Naughty Dog for PS4, like they normally do.

New IPs everywhere, is what I want to see, but a tasty new Metal Gear Solid, Deus Ex or Heavenly Sword wouldn't go a miss.

jivah4071d ago

L.A Noire was supposed to be exclusive as it was being funded by Sony. But there was issues. It was taking too long, Costs were getting kinda high, and they weren't quite getting the product they originally wanted. So Sony decided to back out exclusively and let it go multiplatform...the reason why R* kinda gave em credit to another game for the time and money they put into that.

Bayonetta 2 is showing no signs of that. Nintendo is fully funding the game as well as the production of the story(Since they wasn't planning on making part 2)and unless Ninty backs out it wont go multiplatform.

ame224071d ago

I'm really tired of sequels, that list is very predictable. Please Sony surprise with new IP, I really hope Naughty Dog have UC on hold and are doing something entirely new.

itBourne4071d ago

Its called the Last of Us, lol. You want 2 new ips from one studio? Greedy greedy man

ame224071d ago

Yes the second team is making a new ip but ND has always started fresh every gen so why the hell not. I'm not asking them to abandon the UC franchise but with a studio this talented you'd expect them to use these gifts elsewhere. We already have Shadow Fall and Infamous SS which look great no doubt but let's not continue with this trend shall we. Just a reminder the PS3 had a very start fresh not many franchises carried over from the PS2 era early on.

koehler834071d ago

Of course a list of sequels is predictable. That's all that can be predicted. We know there are going to be new IPs but they're impossible to see coming... because they're new.

JP13694071d ago

I'm honestly not surprised that people are complaining about predictability in a list of predictions. Not on N4G at least.

ame224071d ago

No argument there but I'd rather see these games announced later and not this E3. Look at how everyone is excited about WatchDogs, it's because the game was seen a breathe of fresh air. For me at least it was.

Tontus4071d ago

I agree. The Uncharted series already feels tired, UC3 was just a rehash of UC2 except not nearly as good and UC:GA was mediocre. There's no overarching story among the UC games, it's just the same self-contained stories about a thief called Nathan Drake searching for a magical treasure before the bad guy gets it to do bad things... meh. It's starting to become really boring and the gameplay hasn't evolved at all, also all the set-pieces are just becoming repetitive which means there's no excitement in playing an UC game anymore.

I really hope Naughty Dog stop making Uncharted games, it's not like it's a big franchise or anything since even with the best advertisement and most bundling of all the PS franchises this generation it still isn't that big.

I want Naughty Dog to go back to making games in imaginative fantasy settings, enough of trying to be realistic and putting spectacle over substance.

shivvy244071d ago (Edited 4071d ago )

What, I thought this was dead after Shawn Layden left Sony. I would definitely pick this up if it's true. I have such great memories of playing the MediEvil games on PS1 and I played the PS4 remake. Such a great and underrated series.

Cacabunga8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

A rumored game at a rumored show.. we’ve seen it all

TiredGamer8h ago

Agreed. The first remake was stylistically beautiful and a very noticeable improvement over the original in every regard. And it was reasonably priced and sustainably developed (i.e. not some mega big budget game that was do or die for the developer).

Zeke689h ago

Thanks for the spoilers... :(

RonnySins9h ago

Another day, another remake. Ugh!

SonyStyled8h ago

If you played the original print I can see your annoyance. I didn’t and probably a lot others the past 20 years.

Was it any good? Would you suggest playing the original print of 2, or suggest the remake? Just wondering because I didn’t play the originals as I had an n64 at the time

TiredGamer8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

I played the first remake and absolutely loved it. The quality of life and control improvements were very noticeable. I tried playing the PS1 original and gave up halfway through at the janky controls.

Expect the same for part 2. The PS1 version is janky as heck, but I would gobble up an improved remake day one.

The beauty of this kind of stuff is that I find myself enjoying more retro gaming today, so a relatively low budget classic remake (call it a single-A release) is exactly what is missing from first party releases in the modern age. I don’t want every game to be an unsustainable AAAA endeavor that is just overwhelming in every regard. Truly miss when game releases could be modest-sized surprises and still be commercially successful/viable.

Bring on more quality classic remakes!

DarXyde39m ago

I can see your frustration and mostly agree, but modern remakes of games lost eras ago are fine if you ask me.

I don't know how old you are, but I was a kid when the first Medievil came out. It's really for a new generation of gamers more than anything and the industry is at a point now where there is an insane number of current gamers who missed out on those classics.

If we're talking about remakes of The Last of Us or remasters of GTAV, I'm in agreement. Otherwise, the choice to remake games like Final Fantasy VII, Medievil, Parappa, etc. are fair to me. Even PS2 era games being remade would be welcome to me. Often, the tech updates make it worth it.

Knightofelemia9h ago

Such a good series I also wish Sony would dust off Wild Arms and Legend of Dargoon even the Legend series needs to see the light again.

Omegasyde8h ago

My bets on new Socom and/or Wolverine (since Deadpool 3 is dropping in the summer).

I think one after this state of play will be PS5 pro preorder

InUrFoxHole3h ago

SOCOM! SOCOM! SOCOM!
But please not like Socom 4

"Darkest Dungeon II" is coming to Playstation consoles on July 15th, 2024

"The Vancouver-based (Canada) indie games developer Red Hook Studios are today very happy and excited to announce that their roguelike /strategy/RPG “Darkest Dungeon II”, is coming to Playstation consoles (PS5 and PS4) via PSN on July 15th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.

TwoPicklesGood10h ago

Don't sleep on this, it's a great day

Michiel19895h ago

I personally didn't enjoy 2 as much as I did 1. Actually didn't even finish it.
I do praise that they didn't just carbon copy the 1st game and added more of everything, but I think that during the process a lot of what made Darkest Dungeon appealing to put a ton of hours in, was lost.

The new mode does look cool and I will definitely jump back into it and try it out.
