Just Add Water's PS4 project is "Likely" also for Vita

Viva la Vita: "In a response to fan question posed on Just Add Water's Facebook page asking whether or not the studio's teased PlayStation 4 project would also come to Vita, the team replied with a "Likely". Just Add Water is the studio behind Gravity Crash on the PlayStation Network, and alongside Oddworld Inhabitants, have re-released, and remade various Oddworld games, including Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, which was released on PlayStation Vita late last year. The studio plans to churn out PSVita versions of Munch's Oddysee, and Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty! later this year."

Aren't all ps4 games basically for vita with remote play?

guitarded774078d ago (Edited 4078d ago )

I hope so!!! I think that would be the infamous "system seller" everyone is always talking about.

3-4-54078d ago

In about 2-4 years...yes...which makes buying both a great buy for the next 10 years of gaming.

jujubee884078d ago

But, we should also keep in mind that JAW also did native VITA games for their PS3 oddworld game, so this might in fact be a native VITA game.

It might even have cross-play, cross-save, or it could just be (as you put it) remote play.

The possibilities are endless! :P

strigoi8144078d ago

all PS4 games will be tested for remote play for PSvita...not gonna be surprised vita will boom in sales once PS4 release.

MasterCornholio4078d ago

Especially if Gaikai works as well as they promised. Imagine being able to play PS4 games in any location with WiFi? Granted WiFi isnt everywhere but in my country in in plenty of places.

SAE4078d ago

That's exactly what i want o.o .

greatcrusader444078d ago (Edited 4078d ago )

Oh Lordy, I've been craving a new Odd world game (Or whatever it'll be). Didn't even know they were making anything other than the HD remasters of their old games.

Sad news ... I was following his conditions on twitter. He was suffering from Covid-induced breathing problems.
RIP.

Why does this comment have so many dislikes? The OP just said his death is sad and cited the cause, which is also in the article:

"He was hospitalised with COVID-19 on December 20 and, after fighting it for the past few weeks, passed away today."

The first reply is someone saying he would have died anyway because "No one dies of having cov only". C'mon, lads.

anotherdelusion839d ago

because the word covid was in it i bet

CantThinkOfAUsername839d ago

Don't you know? COVID is nothing more than a strong cold, and no one dies from it. It's all government and WHO propaganda to control people's lives. (Obviously sarcasm, but nowadays this has to be mentioned sadly.)

@bouzebbal

Why are the dumbest people also the loudest? I’m glad your experience was a mild one but that doesn’t mean… eh, nevermind. Enjoy being stupid. Im sure its a blissful existence.

XbladeTeddy838d ago (Edited 838d ago )

@bouzebbal: I worked on a covid ward during wave 1 and 2 in the UK and yes the majority who passed away did have underlying problems. It's a nasty illness though, watching people unable to breath even with oxygen was heart breaking. Plus they died alone as families weren't allowed in. Don't dismiss what it can do, we still had healthy young adults on oxygen who were very sick. It still haunts me what I witnessed.

Sad news, I started to follow his work when JAW were given the Oddworld remake project and continued to follow their work afterwards. He was one of the good guys in the industry - RIP.

I would advise everyone to read this before feeling anything for Rime.

So everything we saw was just a lie? :(

TwoForce2960d ago

I think it's true, my friend. Yes, it's a lie.

mikeslemonade2960d ago (Edited 2960d ago )

Wish there was formal legalities where they can fine developers for false advertising. That's irritating for expecting and getting excited for something that doesn't exist.

Something has to be done because any game shown in preview can possibly be faked. That makes me less interested for all trade shows. It's like who can you trust?

Aloy-Boyfriend2961d ago (Edited 2961d ago )

I forgot about this game. It's a damn shame it seems to be in development hell. At least Sony didn't scrap the IP entirely and gave it back to Tequila Works. I don't feel like anticipating this game anymore. It might not even get released

ShadowKnight2961d ago

Yeah I knew something was wrong with development. I guess it's time to move on.

Herbalistic2961d ago (Edited 2961d ago )

There is something really wrong being as no real updates or gameplay exist from a game announced in 2013

Ristul2960d ago

I was looking forward to this game, loved the artstyle but now I honestly fear we will never see it finished.
