"I very rarely feel connected to characters in video games, or if I am, generally it’s only at the surface level. I can count on my hand the number of times a game’s narrative has drawn me in – specifically to its characters – and made me experience genuine emotions for them. Persona 4 is probably the title to best describe a game like this. It pulls me into a world not so different from my own. It gives me characters I can relate to, laugh at, protect, and even love."
Atlus has announced a collaboration with a well-known Japanese distillery to launch the Persona series' very own whiskey, releasing tomorrow.
I'll have to make this a mission the next time I blow through Tokyo.
Hopefully soon, given the limited availability.
Only one of the games on the top ten is completely original.
90 percent of Metacrtitic's top ten highest-rated games of 2023 so far are remasters and remakes, with Hi-Fi Rush acting as the only wholly original game to make the list so far.
We might only be in March, but it seems like we've already got tons of great games to be talking about, including Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Hi-Fi Rush, Persona 4 Golden, and Metroid Prime Remastered. There is one commonality between those games, however - most of them are remakes and remasters.
Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royale receive high praise and low prices with accolades trailer & generous sales.
Already own physical versions of Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers along with digital versions of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on Switch. Will definitely double dip if physical versions of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden.
I felt the same thing playing through the PS2 game. I can't wait to play through Golden when I get a Vita
I. KNOW. RIGHT?!?! When I compare my life to Yu's life, I actually get depressed sometimes. He has everything. Good friends, is extremely good at studies, can choose between YUKIKO, CHIE, NAOTO and RISE who all happen to be really pretty.
AH,I AM SO JEALOUS. xD
I totally agree with this, good read. Persona games have the most memorable casts ever.
They're fictional, that's why.
I wish I could read the article, but I don't want to spoil anything. Regarding the title, I feel the same way about the characters in Persona 3. I wish they could be my friends irl. I felt so attached to those characters, I was so sad when the game ended.
I always thought myself about this as to why I cant be more like yu narukami and the conclusion I came to is that I shouldnt dismiss my own awesome friends the relation between my friends and his is that we r all close and we always go through problems and learn more abou ourselves and bonds where the relation ends is that we dont have a mystery, most graduated school or attend other colleges, and lastly we dont go inside tvs or a tartarus fighting shadows while screaming PERSONA!
