'PlayStation has held the spotlight for the past couple days due to their official unveiling of the PlayStation 4, the DualShock 4, next-gen games and all the new online goodness they have planned. While watching the PlayStation Meeting 2013 livestream, I couldn’t help but think of how their online features could change the ways many have become accustomed to playing online. I have broken down four aspects of Sony’s new network goals and analyzed the impact I believe it could have on us individually and/or the online community as a whole.' - JPS
A brand new game from Annapurna has been announced at The Game Awards. It is from the creators of Abzu. The Pathless is a console exclusive to PlayStation 4
I could see it being a timed exclusive ala Edith Finch which Annapurna published for Giant Sparrow last year. Either way, they seem to have a good relationship with Sony if they’re doing it again. Giant Squid’s working on it too and Abzu was free on Plus last year.

I’m so torn on fallout 76 I would love another game similar to new Vegas but it doesn’t sound like it. At the same time it’s fallout and I’ll wanna play it either way but I may skip it if it is going the way of what the “leaks” are saying.I’m just hoping it ends up being more new Vegas style than what these “leaks” are saying.
Not sure why people are so opposed to multiplayer fallout, I think it's a great universe to co op in . Now if it's PvP functionality, not so much. plus it doesn't sound like this replaces the existence of a fallout 5 down the road, and I wouldn't doubt if another developer is working on a new Vegas line spin off. Let's just breathe, and see how this turns out.
PlayStation 4 exclusive Detroit: Beyond Human has released to a tide of critical acclaim for its technical accomplishments and narrative-driven format, amid concerns over its approach to themes of android and human civil rights, domestic abuse, slavery and oppression.
No it doesn't! It's still a technical marvel and it's narrative and themes are great! Most are having a blast with it and really there's just a very small minority that is upset with it!
Enjoyed the game, the story, the attention to detail and the music. Very immersive indeed.
(Reminder, slavery/exploitation knows no colour.)
79% on metacritic is a travesty. I know the type of game it is not for everyone and some crazy reviews gave it 4/10. But anyone who enjoys story in games knows this is one of best games of the year so far, if not the best.
I beat the game and I already miss the characters, I know it's an open ended game but I wish they would find a way to make a sequel.
Nice read, and I'm hoping for the online accountability aspect, I own both consoles (xbox360 & Ps3) and PSN seemed to be the more mature of the two when it comes to online community, now that could all change with every ps4 coming with headsets, but if PSN can stay that way it would be nice......
But of course someone could easily not have Facebook or not use it on PSN as well.......we'll see
I'm most excited for Gaikai. Being able to play the whole back catalog is Insane. There are many games I missed out on and would love to play but didn't always feel like tracking them all down.
Although I have a feeling games will trickle into the service as contacts with companies are made, like the Wii VC. But once it's built up, it has the potential to be game changing.
Except you don't have to merge your PSN ID with Facebook ID.
Even if you were forced to, I can easily put a fake ID with no photo.
Anonymousity is there to stay.
About trophies carrying less weight...
Actually, they could disable trophy earning when another player steps in to help you, like they do now when you activate cheats on games like GTA IV or Rock Band. :) It's simple.
