It’s like, you wait ages for a new Legend of Zelda release and then two come along at the same time right? Sure, we got to have a little play in Link’s realm last year thanks to Nintendo Land, but what we’ve really been waiting for is a proper adventure on the Wii U – though the first one we’re getting may be a bit familiar.
Relive the golden age of gaming with these timeless video games. From Wind Waker to Monkey Island, get ready for a nostalgia-filled ride.
I'd put Street Fighter 2 over 3. 2 and all its different versions dominated the arcade scene back in the day in a way that 3 never did.
Ms Pacman?
Robotron?
SSF2 Turbo over 3 simply by the 10000000000's ports of the game we're still having
Castlevania SOTN?
Zelda Link to the Past over Wind Waker
Super Mario Bros 3?
Chrono Trigger?
Resident evil4?
COD MW2 (the original)?
Uncharted 2
Metal Gear Solid?
Here's my reasoning for all of them versus the list proposed in the article.
They are still quite enjoyable from start to finish on their original platform, unlike some Wind Waker or Okami that are fun when you play the remastered version (unless you call: forced to watch a 20-minute cutscene or have to blow for wind chance constantly fun).
Some of them are the pinnacle of what the console could do (MGS, Chrono, MGS)
Lots of them are still considered the go-to-go game for their genre.
Major 2023 game anniversaries include The World Ends With You, Mario Kart Wii, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, among many others
20 years later, The Wind Waker’s Ganondorf is still The Legend of Zelda’s best villain.
I expect fun. Can't really say what else.
I want a Zelda like in the techdemo they showed. -_-
I can already play Windwaker HD on my PC and without crashes or anything, at 1080p.
Is this being reworked entirely? I found no information in the article. The bf is picking up a wii U this Friday, so it could be something we keep in mind. on another note, can't wait to play co-op New Super Mario Bros. Wii U *phew!*
That's a long name!
one last thing

dat fidelity.
Edit: Ok. I see they cleaned up the jaggies, redid shadows, some better textures, looks like some reworked color.
<Spoilers beware> The director apologized for the inane fetch quest towards the end of the game. You'll need an Excorcist for that! I own WW but my copy has a different cover. Years ago EGM (when they were good) released a poster with alternative video game covers. I just cut it out and bam "collectors edition"!
I'm expecting a fun game with a good art style. Sounds like they are actually remaking the game, not just the art assets so maybe they can adjust for anything that originally drew complaints.
