Call of Duty Map Editor Could Change Gamers Views on the Declining Series

Call of Duty has become so large that it can be considered a household name. With the game releasing every year gamers have been excited for the consecutive releases but that love of the series will over time run out. People have grown to adore the series but that feeling will only last so long. With the announcement of Call of Duty 2013 on its way fans reaction was more of a sign than a smile. Gamers are assuming they will see the same thing from the series. They think they will see a refaced multiplayer and a changed story with re-finished levels. This is a disappointing thought for some. What gamers want is to hear about something that will remind them why they loved the series in the first place.

If you could create your very own map from scratch while making perks just part of the world around you that would be mind blowing and would bring completely new life into the series. This might be a cool enough idea to put Battlefield to rest.

OneAboveAll4070d ago

Battlefield to rest? LOL, yea let's put a superior series to sleep. Tosser.

TheGamerDood4070d ago

You could have all the features and gimmicks that you could ever want in this game but if it doesn't offer dedicated servers then there's no point in playing.

Scenarist4070d ago

if they release a map editor to mw4 ..or the mw engine....

the game would be forever popular..
people would play it 10 years down the line.. if this was the last COD on the same engine

slaton244070d ago

actually farcry has been using the editor for awhile and it is amazing CoD could use it but who knows

THESHAUNZY4070d ago

This would be awesome... >.< making your own game modes would be sick as well!!! Playing Micheal Myers or Border Patrol with an AC-130 <3 that would be sick!!!!

TheSuperior 4070d ago

wouldn't it be! Imagine you could make a mode that is totally about surviving perks raining down and the person who dies the least wins x)

Or have juggernauts deploy so players get caught fighting them while other players try to kill each other... AMAZING hahaha

THESHAUNZY4070d ago (Edited 4070d ago )

I played Infection on MW3 the other day... the Juggernauts infected the regular players... it was F******** SIIIICCCCKKK!

Just put the cod4 and mw2 maps already in the game we really don't need something like that.

we just need good maps that´s all.

Kevlar0094070d ago

MW2 had some of the best maps. One of the reasons I started playing MW3 again was to play Terminal

ThichQuangDuck4070d ago

Bring back all the best maps from previous games with updated graphics and destructibility. Make a forge like mode where maps can be played and continually tested by friends and strangers. Best maps posted on servers

CaptainPunch4070d ago

This would never happen, seeing as Activision wants to sell you map packs.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
