The PlayStation 4 has only been public knowledge for a matter of hours, and yet retailers are already getting in on the action. UK high street specialist retailer GAME were first off the mark, with others following in the short time since.

I would hope so.... I'd feel bad buying it for that low of a price. That would be KILLING Sony if the other specs are anywhere comparable to the amount of DDR5 ram that thing has packed into it.

I was right. The Leap between current gen and Next gen isn't stupendously advance. Unlike leap seen from PS2 to PS3 which was MASSIVE.

Not to far of if Id say so the leap would be prolly 20-30 times like Id hoped it would have been.
Ps2 to ps3 were a jump 40 times the power.

No need to say most games on stage looked absulutely amazing and ground breaking though. We will have to see the final spec though before we will know for sure how great the leap will be.

Myself Im happy Sony went with SSD, GDDR5 memory is beast, but Id wanted at least 12 GB, but perhaps GDDR5 pays back in full with its speed, and an SSD DEF helps a lot too!
Still a bit sceptical to x86. I believe POWER pc hardware would have been better in regards to power and compatibility towards previous gen.

I have seen it..Basiclay everything PS4 can do its already been done on a high end PC.

Ive seen games maxed out ultra setting on SLI configured GTX690 and it can produce graphical quality better than PS4 can ever do but still not the leap i wanted.

You wanted at least 12 GB of ram!? You do realize the ram will be mostly dedicated to gaming anyway right? Even high end PC's don't need anything over 8 GB for the most part. That's WITH the OS of Windows running in the background which takes up a good chunk of memory.

You are right there isnt an SSD in it, its just specified as an HDD atm.

Also I didnt watch the entire show, I caught in just in time for KZ: Shadow fall demo.

So I do apologize for being missinformed on these matters.

Also my guesstimation seem now inaccurate.
about 15 times would be a more accurate guesstimation on the ps4 power.
Reading in to the supposed Jaguar based CPU and the GPU being quite good cutting it as a high end GPU compared by current gen Nvidia's 600 series and amd's 7000 series.

Hopefully further details and or changes in the plan will positively suprise us, but Id say it again that the Demo's ran on the supposed PS4 hardware looked mighty good compared to existing demos/games.

It won't be.. not at first. The PS3 has some amazing graphic capabilities and it could be 2 or 3 years into the PS4's life cycle before we really see what the PS4 brings to the table graphically, BUT I do expect to see much larger games and a few hints here and there of just what the PS4 is capable of from the start. It might not be ground breaking at first, but it will be heading there.

On the flip side, we don't know what Naughty Dogg has been working on and if anybody can take it to the next level and blow our minds, it's ND.

This was just the reveal to build up the hype and show more then they could at E3 press conference. The rest will be announced then hopefully. The end said 2013. So it'll at least be this year.

Don't care about the price now. As long it's that powerfull i will buy it even if it's 1000$ and to be reasonable 600$ will be max price that sony will consider..

Insanely good presentation. We heard about system, lil specs, gakai, had live gameplay of awesome games, great features, tech femos, first part and third party.

I know haters are dying inside and dummies that said ps4 wouldnt be a big leap are now looking like morons. This craps on all consoles out with, its visuals, social aspects, 8Gig ram, high end gpu and cpu based off what one of the third party dev stated and what was alluded too.

Thanx Sony for showing us what next gen is really about. Not a world made up of old 2D side scrollers.

I got the hint from bungie that the PS4 IS AN ALWAYS ONLINE CONNECTED CONSOLE,just watch the last comments from the bungie guys,its all there in that last words.So before i get any pre-orders a want the real truth.I watch the all show and i really got the vibe and feeling from all the presentations and speaks..that the PS4 requirement is a internet connection for an always connect system in order to play games.Not to mention that all points for no phisical discs next generation either."You start playing the moment you start downloading" thats what strike me,and thats what shows that phisical media games are a no go on the PS4.I guess Sony fall for what publishers were asking along time ago..no more disc games.Sony didnt had the gutts to tell that in the show because they are waiting for M$ to annouce it.

Sony owns blu-ray.. to not include discs would be the same as slicing it's own throat. Physical disc are not going anywhere soon. Digital downloads will stay an option, though.

Sorry to say, but only the 8gb RAM is strong. The CPU is a joke.
And as regulary KZ2/KZ3 player, KZ4 looked OK, little bit more draw distance and better AA. Thats it.

A 400$ console for the next 7 years, thats not good.

The PS4 is going to cost more than $400 most likely on the $500 to $550.The console haves a lot of power to cost just $400,and KZ blow me,very nice graphics and effects right there.Not to mention the CAPcom game graphics that seem cgi!

Kidding, well in all seriousness I love my Xbox 360, but Sony has made a great case and has definitely signed me up for their next gen console. I guess it was a long time coming because I always wanted a PS2 but got a Gamecube instead from my parents haha. Then this gen I went with the Xbox 360 and had always planned on getting a PS3 but waited it out for this!

PS4 & Xbox gamer this coming gen!

Also, if you were on the fence, don't try out the Wii U you are wasting your money for the most part aside from Smash Bros when they release it, I bought Wii U and got rid of it within 2 weeks cus I knew it just wouldn't be as good as this appears to be!
