DUALSHOCK 4 Touchpad will be Clickable

so the rumours were true and false, there was a rumour that there will be no touch pad and the led screen will be clickable. i guess a clickable touch pad is classy

Love the controller and all the innovative aspects of the ps4. Everything is instant even demos and you can play games while its still downloading int he background. they even have a chip for downloading and uploading. Ps4 games on vita and other things. Share button is awesome ill be using that like crazy during my uc4 and kz4 marathons!!!!!!!!!

Man this system was what i expected and more. Im now mad that i have to wait until nxt christmas!!!!!! like really!!!!

its not all about innovation to me.. The dual screen functionality with all mobile devices, the touchpad, share button, move sensor, new analogs, new trigger, refined D-Pad all are great features.. I couldnt ask for a better controller.. Its perfect as long as the battery life is 40 or more hours im good..

on the spec sheet it's written that the battery life is 1000Mah
a dual shock3 is 330Mah.

and I don't think the DS4 consumes that much energy to power a touch pad and a LED light.

In my understanding, it is an easy method for identifying who is which player, as opposed to the number system a different colour (sorry English :D) will be assigned, I did see during the presentation a red light and a blue light on the controllers which allowed me to draw this conclusion.

I believe it is also used as a tracking system similar to the ball of the the move controller. It will likely replace the original six axis controls with a pointing precision feature as well.

I am really pleased with how this controller appears to be turning out.

Which i guess means they aren't limiting games to 4 players, but instead let the dev decide what's best.

It is used to identify who is who during a game if played with two or more person via the PS4 Eye (everyone gets a different color like the move)

It can also display different colors depending on what you are doing or happening in a game (flashing red when getting hit by bullets for example)

Probably also used so the PS4 Eye can track the controller possibly for more accurate motion (Think the move)
