The 5 Reasons I’m Getting a PS4: From an Xbox Fan

Honestly I've never owned a PlayStation product. I've been a Microsoft fan for as long as I've been playing video games. But after last nights PlayStation announcement I think I might lose my Xbox fandom, and switch to the PlayStation side.

Though I do still see people using, and only using, "fanboy" as a legitimate point or counter point to any and all arguments. Throw out the accusation as if they aren't only fanboy in the discussion.

You don't have to choose sides but if the next Xbox has all the same games and very few exclusives people actually care about Microsoft may start to see less interest coming their way. Especially if they don't show real value in Xbox Live because we all know they won't drop the fee for simple online gaming.

The PS4 looks very good and they are very serious about online going forward.

Yes. As i said. Then choose a console. For me this gen i picked the PS3 because of the games. I don't have anything against MS. Sony just have more games and i don't really have the time to play that many in anycase. PS3 is more than enough. I still have 7 games i have not touched yet.

See, the difference is you are quite happy with just having a PS3. It offers you enough enjoyment. When people pick sides they often need to try and reassure themselves and others why they chose what they chose and often put down the competition in the process. This is what leads to all of this console wars nonsense like a bunch of children arguing over nothing.

Sony didnt impress, more Killzone more of the same, Infamous, here Tech Demos that dont even exist.

Microsoft might do worse but lets wait and see.

Knack, Watch Dogs, Destiny, Drive Club, The Witness and Deep Down are all unreleased new IPs? The tech demo is an integral part of a console announcement for developers and consumers alike to prove the longevity of the system and how it can extend to the imagination. On top of this, the "more of the same" reference to Killzone is invalid, it did not even look like a Killzone game while the inFamous was a different character AND setting.

I agree with your first statement on innovation and games but Sony nailed both that AND power.

Only reason you need is 8GB DDR5. Games will look, run and sound 10x better than on every other platform.
