What Was Your Favorite PlayStation 4 Game Shown at the PlayStation Meeting?

Not stopping at just the meeting and system, the four of us at Ask PSLS also wanted to highlight some of the many games shown during the PlayStation meeting.

Knack surprised me, Sony is practically saying "We want 3D platformers to stick around next gen" with it and has a lot of charm.

Killzone: Shadow Fall just blew me away, along with Watch_Dogs. I need to see more of Driveclub and inFamous: Second Son but just the few minutes shown of them were terrific

I'm all in with the new Infamous, I've never been able to run around my home town before. Killzone looks epic so I'm pumped for that. And maaaaaan the trailer Capcom showed was DOPE! Destiny was cool but it kind of looked like Killzone 2. Not a bad thing but I want to see more of the game play.

Knack really didn't impress me, but we'll see how that goes. Driveclub could be cool but I want to see more too.

And why is no one talking about what Media Molecule showed? They've finally found literal 1:1 movement and thats huge for the Move controller. Movement from you to the screen simultaneously.

When he was talking about the texture shaders and modeling the carbon fiber it really rustled my jimmies.I dont even care about pCars right now, I just want this.
Killzone is a very close second, but I really want to see that gameplay video in HD

I may sound excentric but the things that wowed more are the Quantic Dreams tech demo and Deep Down.

Deep Down looks more than a first gen next-gen title, more like 2nd or 3rd gen game, I mean I got the chill to see that this CGI is PLAYABLE (YAY japanese devs coming back in force after they missed the last gen, at leats in terms of graphics).

Quantic Dreams tech demo, already surpassed some old tech demos many 3D devs show off and gamers were only dreaming about. It already surpasses technics used in cinema, and looks more realistic than famous CGI movies (Avatar helloooo).

The other games are astonishing, but that's what you cna expect from launch games (eventhough PS4 launch games looked wya better compared to what PS3 offered at launch).

So I am very optimistic for both first party and superior multiplats for PS4.

Deep Down looked amazing, but maybe not my kind of game.

I liked Infamous and that knight game from capcom. All the games looked great tho. Now my saving for a new car fund is also for ps4 now.

Same....the UI was clearly thrown on there but....any game that relates to medieval weapons and monster-hunting, hack n' slash gameplay and anything to do with swords and just that overall theme. I absolutely CANNOT resist....which is why King's Field, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Chivalry and many many more games are my instant favs.

For me it was how the trailer made it seem as though the world really was open. That if you wanted to you could have ran in the opposite direction and still run into cool, dynamic, real time, set pieces. Sure you had to chase the guy but hopping a ride on a train? I mean what else can you do in this world?

The Witness was the most boring part of the entire conference next to what Media Molecule did. All it was was showing environments of their compact open world with seconds of lame "get out of the maze" puzzles. Like Godchild1020 said, you could barely call it a tech demo. At least Knack had some gameplay, and looked like an actual game.

I'm not sure if anyone else caught it but when Squarenix was announcing that they will have an announcement at E3 (sigh...) that Hashimoto was like saying 'Please' multiple times.

I rewatched a couple of times & he said it like 2-3 times before leaving the stage. Was it like Squarenix was 'begging' gamers to care? Did they finally realize they messed up this gen?

I actually think they do. Just recently I read something about one of the top cats at Squenix saying that the FF brand has been badly damaged.

Square-Enix tanked horribly. They literally tanked. They could have phoned in their part. They showed a tech demo trailer everyone and their grandmother has already seen and then said "wait for a new FF at E3" which will probably frickin' be FF13-4. It's pretty bad when even the stuck up creator of Braid does a better presentation than Square-Enix.

Yup, this is unheard of. I was looking at the GTX690 card for my PC. That's a cutting edge card at $999 and it only has 4 gb of GDDR5. I'm still shocked they were able to do this.

If you were a PC gamer, you would know that system RAM which the PS4 has 8GB of is not the same as VRAM. You and a few people on this site are clearly confusing system RAM with VRAM. The PS4's GPU only has 2GB of VRAM, but the GTX690 has 4GB.

but in terms of pure impressiveness, Killzone was pretty bad@ss. The graphics, the vast size of the world, it was pretty incredible.

Of all the games we saw, that I can remember off-hand, Killzone: Shadowfall stole the show, so that was my favorite, but Knack and inFamous: Second Son are not far behind.

Expected games to look this advanced this soon. Ps3 was dreaming of games looking this good while ps4 is living it. My favorite of the show was between kz and deep down. Both of those stunned me emotionally and visually. Last gen already feels so old and tired to me and really a complete waste if u ask me with all the hardware problems afflicting the 360 to the collapse of
Square enix and Capcom. Hopefully now with new and way powerful tech turning inside the ps4, the rest of the industry will get going and feed off this new inspiration that Sony has established.
