I honestly thought it was doomed from the moment I saw it being a Smash Bros clone. If they do make another one(God Forbid)they should try looking at different ways to present the overall game. Maybe have it 2.5D and instead of 4 fighters on at once, tag matches instead or something similar to Street Fighter X Tekken.

Because

A) All-Stars is not a smash bros clone
B) All-Stars is not doomed (bc now it's got a huge following)

The meter build aspect differentiated All-Stars from the competition, and the fan support from the word "go" (up until now when awesome DLC debut) has been awesome.

... Going forward, I think SCE should acknowledge the marketing blunders when people like you come along by hiring some studio that can take in your opinion, grind down to find the critique amidst the preconceptions and build a better fighter. Preferably, the next All-Stars game would be a game built with EVO (or other pro-gaming circuits) in mind so that it's fighting mechanics and features make it refined enough for competitive gaming on day one.

All-Stars was already the casual game. I think it's fair for SCE to make a more serious fighting game.

I feel like the only person that enjoys this game sometimes.
I've had a ton of fun with it. Emmett and Kat have added a lot to the roster. There always seems to be loads of different people online too so there must be a lot of fans out there. It's a good game, it has it's flaws but what game doesn't? Anyway I hope they keep supporting it with DLC characters for awhile before we get a sequel. A lot of people seemed to of bought the Heavenly Sword/wipeout level so there is demand for more content.

Great game imo and i hope that a sequel is made. My girl even loves playing mp with me and is actually getting the hang of it.

I really believe that most ppl that hated on this game because they were fanboys crying that it was a Smash bros clone influenced others to supposedly hate it.

If you dig deep you will find a good amount of ppl that own multi systems that feel this is better than smash brothers was. But of course thats subjective.

Great game, tired of seeing hate comments.

I want a better sequel, with more modes, characters & maps. Just more everything really. Single player needs a complete revamp because thats where I feel All-stars lacked the most

But in the short term future I'll settle for some more DLC characters, Emmett & Kat are awesome.

A solid 8/10 people who hate on All stars have never played it

It'll probably fade into obscurity. In about 10 years or so some people will be like "Remember that Smash Bros. game that had Playstation characters?" but most people won't remember it ever happened.
