The Attitude Era of World Wrestling Entertainment in the focus of THQ’s latest video game, WWE 13. WWE Legend Edge, who now goes by his real name, Adam Copeland, was a big part of that era in the ‘90s that saw pro wrestling evolve into what it is today. While WWE fans can take Edge to the ring in the new video game, his pro wrestling days are over. He’s transitioned to acting as Dwight “The Cleaner” Hendrickson in the hit Syfy TV series, Haven. The WWE Hall of Famer talks about video games, Haven and WWE Attitude in this exclusive interview.

Referring to edge as a legend is comparable to calling lil wayne an artist. I wish wwe didn't set such a low bar that all it takes to be a hall of famer is a "legit" retirement.

Edge was always a great entertainer in the ring and he's a solid actor now in Hollywood.

An intro to Biomutant

Alex & Mike talk Biomutant, a game from Experiment 101/THQ Nordiq you likely have not heard of. While the AAA side of the industry tends to homogenization and imitative, cinematic presentation, “AA” games remain creative and innovative in 2021. Personally I wanted a 2d fighter, considering AEW been doing promotions with Capcom i thought we'd see a 2D fighter featuring AEW Wrestlers and Street Fighter, whether it's classic side scroller or vs. I'm fed up typical wrestling games, I'd like to see something different. The pro to all this is that they have the original director from No Mercy. Just have to wait and see but I'm not getting my hopes up. At least we have AEW, cos damn WWE sucks atm

BLAKHOODe1248d ago (Edited 1248d ago )

I feel like you shouldn't. The game is super early in development and will be using next-now-current gen hardware with fresh insight on today's product. Shut up and give the game a chance.

I want AKI to make a new wrestling game.

8bitRey1248d ago

I'm optimistic for the AEW game. Kenny Omega is a legit gamer, he played a lot of Street Fighter while he was busy putting on classic matches in New Japan. He was training/sparring in Street Fighter with some of the best players in the world - like Infiltration and Poongko for example - during his time off!

Thankfully I got Fire Pro Wrestling World to keep me going for years to come.

AEW’s new video game looks like pure nostalgia injected into your Xbox or PS5

AEW’s new video game might be the wrestling games fans have been asking for decades.

I was sold the moment Yukes logo showed up.

It's been a while since we had a great wrestling game

Acecalibur1251d ago (Edited 1251d ago )

The director of No Mercy and Def Jam games is involved, which explains the style of graphics. Exactly what I was hoping for. However this was an in engine CGI trailer. With Yukes, Iwashita from AKI, and Kenny Omega creating this game, all wrestling fans should be hype for this. This is the one we've been waiting 20 years for people.

Terry_B1251d ago

Yeah..that all sounds good on paper.

roadkillers1251d ago

I agree. The lack of actual gameplay and information has me worried. I'd love a re-release of no mercy

Bobertt1251d ago

I like the animations and moves but i wish the proportions were less arcade like.

infamousprophet31251d ago

I didn't even have to see the yukes logo to know its them. The hair physics lets you know its them. Idc about that tho, just give me something like no mercy and I'll be happy
