UK Charts - Aliens: Colonial Marines Enters in First Place

GodisaGeek: "That’s right: 1st! Bet you didn’t see that one coming. EA continue to enjoy the seemingly permanent spot inside the top 10 with FIFA 13, Dead Space 3 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Ubisoft aren’t doing too badly either, as Far Cry 3 seems to still be selling enough to stay reasonably high up in the charts."

uk no wii u exclusives and aliens no.1? shows you what kind of taste the uk has, no wonder the wii u is not doing any good there, they only buy crappy games!!!lol

Okay, now THAT was immature. Seriously, you're going to criticize an entire nation of people over estimated charts? First of all, there are no new games for the Wii U, let alone any AAA titles so the Wii U has not sold strongly recently in ANY region.

Furthermore, Aliens has a ton of hype around it and it wouldn't surprise me if it ultimately sold moderately well in the US AS WELL as the UK, and not everyone frequents the internet or checks reviews.

Honestly, keep the ignorance to a minimum. I think we see enough of it on any negative Wii U news.

in case you didn't see the lol, it was a joke, calm down for god sakes, if i had said this about nintendo you would not have cared. seriously, take a chill pill and chill out.

Um, actually I think a fair few saw this coming!

It makes sense; years of hype and everyone looking forward to it/talking about it and then one week of bad press...

It was always going to get good initial sales, but what's important is whether people are pleased with their purchase...a PC metacritic user score of 3.6/10 suggests not.

*Edit: @Wiium64, hur hur, yo a clever 1 eye kan tel...you're so right, because all the games in the list are crappy, right? Wrong. Way to insult a nation smh

This game has had tons of hype for a couple years, and as often as some reviews come out stating a game is mediocre and the game is still fun. Maybe alot of people were just taking a chance on the game.

I would like to play the game and find out for myself if it is good or not. I think that is what I'll do.

Last time I ever pre-order a game again!..until the next Aliens licensed game.

Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
