Wii U is a great console. Good design, nice feel, and fun to play. It’s not without faults, though. While Nintendo Network is a vast improvement over Wii’s introverted little world, when compared to Xbox Live or PSN, it’s still lacking.
Despite all the restrictions and slow-loading, one of the greatest concerns was the inability to have two profiles playing one game at the same time. It’s a basic, core feature that has been used over the last eight years. So it's natural to expect the same thing to be possible on Wii U.
Other nominees include games like SimCity & Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
There are some good nominees in this list that are deserving to be inducted also, but I feel Metroid has had the most impact on the industry out of all of these. Look how Metroid influenced the evolution of the Castlevania games, and the "Metroidvania" subgenre of games have become a prevailing force in gaming today. Especially now, Metroidvanias are bigger than ever.
I can very much see Resident Evil being added later too, bc it really did popularize and define the survival horror genre. I would say that one is next in line.
If any Metroid game should get the honor it should be Super Metroid , it's perfection in my eyes . 30 years later and I still feel it's the most epic shit ever .
The GBA remake deserves it or Super Metroid, the original was a very sloppy and rushed game programmed in 3 months and it shows.
If you've never played the remake, it's absolutely a must play, fixes basically every flaw in the game. Check out ExoParadigmGamer's comparison video.

Cultured Vultures: True Nintendo fanatics may know some of these, but we doubt that everyone knows all of these facts about the NES.
I bought always awakening and it's sequel off Amazon for ps4 I didn't know it was released for nes for retro people lol.
No kidding. The problem there is that Wii U's designed in such a way that multiple accounts don't mean very much. They share all of the games and content. The only real difference is that the username has been changed.
It's an improvement for sure, but it should have been a larger one given the poor reception of the previous OS.
WiiU online is way above LIVE and PSN get a grip everyone has voice chat on every game that supports it i play BO2 and i can stick any set of headphones in my GAMEPAD and i'm talking to friends and strangers without a stupid call centre headset ?? the online is smoother than LIVE and faster everyone knows the WiiU NintendoNetwork is way above LIVE going forward.
Oh this clearly demostrates multiple accounts on BO2 WiiU,basically ur on individual accounts on the same console playing the same game, something Sony havn't confirmed yet is can you like on WiiU play on the same game, same console, playing online MP ? because you can with WiiU ive done it.
It's obviously not something Nintendo feels they have to brag about and i agree.
