Persona 4 Golden Review | Totally GN

A very polished re-release and a great title for the Vita in general.

This is definitely a system seller for RPG fans.

The first time in history - I bought a game before a handheld/console. It was persona golden. That is how much hype I was for the game. I did 2 playthroughs, taking a break atm!

Actually, Yi-Long I was initially disappointed that there's no Japanese dub in the game. But as I played on I came to realise that the voice acting was actually pretty well done in English, which is a rarity in JRPGs. Give the game a shot; it's easily one of the best JRPGs released in a long time, even sans Japanese dub. :)

This game has a crazy metacritic of 94.

LOL i just discovered something funny. The highest rated 3DS game on Metacritic is Orcania of Time 3D with a metacritic of 94 and the highest rated Vita game is Persona 4 Golden which has a metacritic of 94 as well.

Both games are remakes lol what a coincidence.

After you talk to everyone you need to go talk to Dojima again.

Though you probably want to look up "P4 True End Guide" so you can see the real end.

It's the pacing of the Persona series.

While I don't own a Vita, nor have I actually played 4 yet(plan to get the original soon), Persona 3:FES is probably my favorite jrpg because it balances its different elements rather well and keeps things fresh.

The balancing of the social and combat aspects of the game just keeps everything interesting.

you'd definitely want to get persona 4
it's awesome

storyline isn't as serious which i very much like more.

the characters are (IMO) more defined
and there's not all the heavy drama going on all the time

and in this game you aren't SAAAVING THE WOOORLD
instead you are saving people that are kidnapped
it's alot lighter pressure on the storyline
and honestly.... after earthbound i just can't take kids SAAAAVE THE WOOORLD seriously anymore... don't get me wrong earthbound was great

and finally
i'm sure you know by now after playin P3
but Persona 4 will just like persona 3
take long time to beat
240Hours is the total time i finished two playthoughs on my ps2.

so yeah... it'll destroy your freedom again

I'd play Golden instead of the Original, it's the definitive version.

I would have to purchase a Vita, and it's simply not worth the cost of the system for me.

There isn't much on the Vita that interests me. When my most wanted game on the system is simply a port, albeit a more fleshed version, of a last gen title, then the system just isn't for me yet.

I don't doubt that I will own a Vita, eventually. But now is not the time. The ps2 version of the game will suit me just fine, I think.

I'm sixty hours in and still having fun with the game. I haven't even beat it yet. This is truly one of my favorite games ever.

The Golden version is very different. Make sure you get Golden when you get a Vita that is if you're getting one.

I already played this game on my PS2 when it first came out and now I'm playing it again on my Vita and it never lost its charm. The additional scenes and links makes this game worth playing again and again.
