Bungie is set to finally release the first official information on Destiny in the next couple of days, but while the game has been mostly shrouded in secrecy, we already know a surprising amount about the Halo creator's next epic..
Bungie - "Join our development team to see the new updates arriving with Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Releasing on June 4, 2024."
Amid ongoing anxiety within Bungie following layoffs last year, the studio is now preparing for another shakeup, this time on Marathon.
Talk about mismanaged Bungie is a studio of tremendous potential and have made some of the greatest shooters to date. Sony pushed them to just make another Destiny style game and consult on other studios live service games and are now getting thrown under a bus as the pivot away from predominantly gaas games is unfolding.
I'd love to see a world where Bungie can focus on telling great sci fi stories again away from a live service dungeon but we all know that's a pipe dream
This studio has had three owners and its never worked well with any of them....Management has issues
Today Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson provided a look into his ideas for the use of generative AI in the company's development processes.
EA is still a shady shitty company even with or without the help of Skynet. All they will use AI for is new ways to milk loot boxes and come up with the same sports title with a different year on the label. They are one company I truly do hate with a passion. They single handedly ruined some great franchise with their death touch. ME, Dead Space, Alice Returns, Dante's Inferno.
EA layoffs followed by 'Generative AI to Drive Monetization'
I knew it. Wonder what AI salary looks like? Nothing.
And take away creativity, and people's jobs as we've been seeing. Got it.
No thanks. I want my games created by people, not AI.
EA doesn't want to lose their title of worst gaming company ever, always trying their best to remain the champs!
What's sad is that they have so much potential to be a decent publisher.
SSX Tricky / SSX 3
Def Jam Vendetta / Fight for New York
NBA Street
NFL Steet
Mirror's Edge
Bad Company
Burnout 3 / 4 / 5
Remember when EA used to be awesome? It's all over with now. Unpolished, if not out-right broken games these days. Endless monetization and gambling in their sports games, and let's not forget wasting hours of your life trying to unlock characters or equipment using "surprise boxes!"
Looking forward to this game, can't wait to see what they say on Sunday .
The contract still seems kind of shifty. Activision have the right to terminate tje contract if Destiny fails to sell 5 million copies in its first 6 months. Is it not'only on 360 for at least 6 months?
Just shows Activision are only in it for the money. Many games would kill for those sales in its lifetime,'but they expect that many for one console?
Pretty much what they are saying is that it has to be as big as Halo and Call of Duty straight away. Well, looks like they better have one hell of an advertising campaign.
Four games in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019? 2 years of development time each doesn't seem like enough to make a AAA title.
I love bungie so im sure imma love this game to, but all this talk about sequels and follow up dlc has me worried that we'll get an incomplete game.
Ps3 is more than capable of open world. Guess you havent played enough ps3 games to know that. Start with dust 514.
