DSOGaming writes: "This SweetFX mod was created in a way to recapture the atmosphere of the older Aliens vs Predator games. Therefore, we upped the shadows, we saturated the game a bit, we added more blue to give that space feeling that was lacking, and we sharpened the image in order to get a better image quality."
Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.
The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.
The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Player 2 takes some quiet time to look back at some of the most hyped failures of the past 10 years.
Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.
Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.
Thanks to a bustling mod community on Steam, Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines actually has a stellar multiplayer experience to offer these days.
Polishing a turd comes to mind!
Honestly I have been waiting for this game ever since I first heard about it and I am a die hard alien fan, the cold hard facts is after playing this I cannot think of one reason why I would recommend it to anybody.
The game is awful, buggy, full of glitches, poor graphics, poor gameplay, bad story, terrible animations, bad atmosphere honestly I could be here all day.
Anybody defending this mess of a game must be trying to find a reason to justify spending money on it.
Played a lot of bad games in my time and this is in my top 5 for sure.
Oversharpened at those settings, but I like the color scheme.
I don't get it, did they release an old build by accident? Ridiculous, its one thing to market the with come CGI trailers and such then show the real gameplay but to actually pawn off and lie about the actual visual look of the game is just wrong. Essentially thats what they did, they lied to us. Understandable that things change but why for the worse. What happened to that next generation dynamic lighting they tooted about, no HUD at all, and "sophisticated" alien AI. Gearbox dropped the ball.
