“No Plans” to Release Skyrim on the PSN, Dragonborn DLC has 10 Trophies

After not knowing just how much The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s Dragonborn would be when it launched on the PlayStation Network later today in North America, we can now say that it will be sold $9.99 during launch week, with a regular price of $19.99 after that.

Good for you. For me, Skyrim has been one of my favorite games this gen. In fact, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Skyrim would all be in my top 10 games I've played this gen. The DLC is going to be a day one purchase for me on my PS3. It's funny, there were less bugs in Skyrim then there were in Oblivion and Fallout 3, yet you'd think by all the noise that Skyrim was unplayable, not hands down one of the best games to come out this console generation. I don't know what game the people complaining played, but it certainly isn't the game that I played.

As for their attitude toward customers, you mean how they addressed the major issues within weeks of release and have consistently offered improvements to all versions this past year while working on top notch DLC? Yeah...they just take the money and run, don't they? Sheesh.

I swear, if I stayed away from all the games the internet hated, I wouldn't have played a game since '97.

I didn't have many problems with my PS3 version either, but that doesn't mean a lot of people didn't have major problems. You and I apparently got lucky somehow with PS3 Skyrim. It was the exact opposite for me with Dead Island, when I had many MANY more problems than most people did. I love Elder Scrolls games and will buy the next one as long as it shows up on PS3 or PS4, but Bethesda really does leave a lot to be desired as devs. They have awesome ideas that they marinate in bad code. They depend mostly on modders to fix their PC version, still haven't fixed all the problems with the basic game on any platform, and nearly threw up their hands in confusion over the PS3 version. Hell I'd still probably buy the DLC if I could cure myself of being a werewolf, but I can't because it won't let me continue the quest to do so. No reason to buy DLC if I can't play all the content in the basic game. I'm just glad I was able to finish the main story and get a couple hundred hours in before I got stuck. PS4 sounds like more traditional hardware so hopefully even Bethesda will be able to work on it. At least all platforms will be equally buggy.

I'll likely receive flak and disagrees for this but I agree wholeheartedly with darkride. Easily one of the best games I've played this generation, as well as one of the best of all time, in MY experience. Obviously some people have problems with the game. I do see his point, also, about all the noise we see ramming both Bethesda and it's games. Sometimes you have to wonder exactly what happens to the people that condemn them are indeed playing. Oh well, my two cents, that. I know I'll be loving Dragonborn once it's out, as well as Dawnguard. Thanks Bethesda, even if they are late. :)

Why do people care about digital versions so much? Consoles have optical readers for a reason...

A lot of people have this big thought that digital is "faster loading" than regular disc, which isn't always the case.

The only time I'd go digital if it's a game I know I'd keep and not have any intentions to sell (I'm talking disc-based games like Tekken Tag 2).

Worst I saw was Red Faction Armageddon(?), that had obviously been selling poorly and on sale in Game -new- for £7:99, £57.99 on the store. Amazing.

Okay and I respect people's choice of digital over physical but people are gettin mad simply because it's Bethesda and Skyrim and they are cool to hate, not because of the no digital choice. If that was the case people would be mad about it for years now not all of a sudden on Skyrim.
