Looking forward to playing a bungie game on the ps4 when it arrives. Hopefully they drift away from the Halo formula and create a totally different experience because i personally dislike Halo with a passion. Couldn't help but think of the power rangers with lasers when ever i played the game.

Don't hate me, this is just my personal overview of the game.

AngelicIceDiamond4084d ago

I wanna play this game on 360 but I might play it on 720 depends on when its releases.

According to Bungie they'll release more info in the coming weeks. Can't wait

I respect your opinion.

Knight_Crawler4084d ago (Edited 4084d ago )

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion...I feel the same way about the Killzone franchise, the characters are forgettable, the story is bland and the gameplay is generic and boring - I never understood what some people find good about Killzone apart from the eye candy.

Like I said we are all entitled to our own opinion but one thing I do not understand is why are you looking forward to a game from a developer who has in the last 10 years only made one franchise called Halo...I do not like Killzone and I am not looking forward to any new game developed by Guerrilla Games because guess what they made Killzone and I do expect a new game from them to stray too far away from the Killzone formula.

So tell me again...since you hate Halo with a passion why are you looking forward to a game from the people who made Halo?

first1NFANTRY4084d ago

"So tell me again...since you hate Halo with a passion why are you looking forward to a game from the people who made Halo? "

Because i know they are well respected devs and i know they are capable of making a game that i will finally be attracted to.

Now you tell me what's stopping them from making a racing, kart, rpg, horror game?

Just cause i don't like Halo doesn't mean i won't like something else they may develop.

Looks to me like you just have a personal hate for all things ps related.

SJPFTW4084d ago

easy Knight_Crawler. You will rustle some jimmies

Skips4084d ago

I honestly don't get the point of you bringing Killzone into this. LMAO

Well while we're here.

"the characters are forgettable"/ I agree (ISA specifically)
"the story is bland"/ I disagree (Rivalry between the Humans and Helghast is pretty epic).
"gameplay is generic and boring"/ (Competely disagree, KZ2's MP gameplay is one of the best this gen, better than Halo MP IMO).

"I never understood what some people find good about Killzone apart from the eye candy."

One word, Helghast. One of the best villains of this gen.

On Topic:

What first1NFANTRY said.

I really don't get how it's hard to understand that people can like a game a studio creates, and not like another they create.

For example, I liked Vanquish but hated Bayonetta. Do you still not get it?

humbleopinion4083d ago (Edited 4083d ago )

@Knight_Crawler
You're digging to much into this... obviously you're right and on the surface this makes exactly as much sense as someone dissing Resistance and Ratchet and still planning to buy Insomniac's Fuse for the 360 (meaning no sense at all).
But there is an obvious logic behind this - INFANTRY is just stating his brand loyalty here:
- I am already buying a PS4 without knowing what it's gonna be or when it's released = Sony good.
- I didn't like Halo = Microsoft bad
- I will still buy Bungie's game for the PS4 even-though we now know it's in development for the 360 and only later it might be ported = my not so sophisticated way of saying "hey, look! The 360 lost an exclusive developer" without being considered a troll.

Sevir4084d ago

but The first Game in the franchise is a MS exclusive, the first Destiny will be on the Next XBOX and the Xbox 360 for about 1 year!... i guess MS ponied up the cash for that to associate that game with the XBox brand.

BanBrother4084d ago

"... i guess MS ponied up the cash for that to associate that game with the XBox brand."

NUH, Activision did it for a ham sandwhich and a packet of crisps /s

ElementX4083d ago (Edited 4083d ago )

It's not their first multiplatform release. Oni was on PC, Mac, and PS2

Tacklebait4084d ago

So does this announcement/info have anything to do with feb 20th and sony?

I'm guessing there will be allot more info shared after they let the cat out of the bag.

SquidBuck4084d ago (Edited 4084d ago )

I'm loving how more developers are starting to use viral marketing! I loved it when ND did it for TLOU, and I'm loving it now with Destiny; it's just getting me more pumped. WOOOOOOO!!!!! :D

Gazondaily4083d ago

Bungie have been doing it for years! Ever since Halo 2. I still remember the whole bees fiasco with Halo 3 *shudder*

IK IR Y IP T4084d ago

game is going to be sweet but if you want to play it on ps3 your are going to have to wait a full year as microsoft has a whole 1 year exclusive right to the game ...

portal_24083d ago

Documents from 3 years ago, and Activision's big sweaty palms.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter325d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood325d ago (Edited 325d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro325d ago (Edited 325d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881325d ago (Edited 325d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell324d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig325d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast325d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername325d ago (Edited 325d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g325d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka325d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it

I've been thinking about playing through D1 again before it goes away...

CobraKai476d ago

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

jeromeface475d ago

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog

spoonard473d ago

That's the bummer of 'games as a service'.
