Get rid of Playstation Home? what are these guys smoking? there are always lots of people in playstation home,i dont really like it as of now but i understand why others do, sony just need to have better integration with pshome/ps4.

an example: lets say im playing a ps4 game and i earn a trophy then an option pops up on the screen if i want to set up my trophy on my pshome trophy room (that would be an awesome way to use pshome) or have a video chat with friends from your trophy room or ps home room.

It is all the loading and Installs that bother me with home.
If it were streamed via Gakai or something it would be a million times better than having to deal with epic load times, syncing and installing, Hopefully tweaks and uppdates could be done on the fly without anyone taking notice by there being lag or disconnection when it happens, probably.

Home is an interesting service... when you arent staring at a progress bar.
Ps4 could take it way further.

I agree they should let Sixaxis die. It's barely used and when it is it feels forced and unnecessary (like Wii motion tbh). I don't want motion sensing. Sell on your exclusives, price (which will be cheaper without having to stuff cameras and screens and motion sensors everywhere), streaming, PS+, free online, and POWER! These are working fine for PS3 as long as you don't sell for $600 you can dominate the market (they're about to pass xbox despite their terrible launch and being more expensive the whole gen and a year late).

How the hell is "wii motion" unnecessary? That's the whole purpose of the wii.

Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, LoZ, and DKC could've been done without it. When you look at those games they force 1 or 2 motion controls in there which could easily be done with a button press (like Mario spinning). I would've like Skyward Sword a lot more if it didn't make me swing that clunky sword around with its delayed reactions to everything I did.

PS Home is a double edged sword IMO...although its a good social tool..it does somewhat distract from AAA games in general, as when I was frequently using home, many people did not play games much.

PS Home makes Sony money (Micro-transactions) so they should not abandon it, but its focus needs shifting...and perhaps it should be streamed via Gaikai in the future, as the constant loading is off putting.

Regarding B/C...something tells me PS4 will not have disc based B/C because of Gaikai...but tbh any way of playing those stellar PS3 games on new hardware is a plus IMO.

I'm sure paint is cheap so why not offer more varying colors with the new PS4? Don't make other colors just a special and more *expensive edition option - offer it as standard across the range.

Quieter or at least unnoticeable noise levels coming from internal exhaust fans when extreme heat temp is detected.

Do hope the new control pad will get slightly bigger in size as well, and do keep "rumble" ability.

I wanted head tracking in my games, and with the new ps eye/panopticon, it looks like i'll get my way. Cant wait for properly responsive head tracking in Gran Turismo 6, FPS games, and Flight games.

What, I thought this was dead after Shawn Layden left Sony. I would definitely pick this up if it's true. I have such great memories of playing the MediEvil games on PS1 and I played the PS4 remake. Such a great and underrated series.

A rumored game at a rumored show.. we’ve seen it all

TiredGamer1h ago

Agreed. The first remake was stylistically beautiful and a very noticeable improvement over the original in every regard. And it was reasonably priced and sustainably developed (i.e. not some mega big budget game that was do or die for the developer).

Zeke683h ago

Thanks for the spoilers... :(

Another day, another remake. Ugh!

SonyStyled2h ago

If you played the original print I can see your annoyance. I didn’t and probably a lot others the past 20 years.

Was it any good? Would you suggest playing the original print of 2, or suggest the remake? Just wondering because I didn’t play the originals as I had an n64 at the time

TiredGamer1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

I played the first remake and absolutely loved it. The quality of life and control improvements were very noticeable. I tried playing the PS1 original and gave up halfway through at the janky controls.

Expect the same for part 2. The PS1 version is janky as heck, but I would gobble up an improved remake day one.

The beauty of this kind of stuff is that I find myself enjoying more retro gaming today, so a relatively low budget classic remake (call it a single-A release) is exactly what is missing from first party releases in the modern age. I don’t want every game to be an unsustainable AAAA endeavor that is just overwhelming in every regard. Truly miss when game releases could be modest-sized surprises and still be commercially successful/viable.

Bring on more quality classic remakes!

Such a good series I also wish Sony would dust off Wild Arms and Legend of Dargoon even the Legend series needs to see the light again.

Omegasyde2h ago

My bets on new Socom and/or Wolverine (since Deadpool 3 is dropping in the summer).

I think one after this state of play will be PS5 pro preorder
