Gears of War: Judgement Preview | Gaming Capacity

Gears of War: Judgment is the fourth instalment in the Gears of War franchise, surprisingly though it is a prequel to the original 2006 Gears of War. This time we will not be charging around Sera as Marcus Fenix or Domonic Santiago instead Damon Baird and Augustus Cole (Cole Train baby!) take centre stage. Which is fitting really since Epic Games have handed over development of the campaign to Polish, Bulletstorm developers People Can Fly. Meaning that Epic Games minus Rod Fergusson and Cliff Bleszinski will once again be responsible for multiplayer.

gears of war 3 sold 6.1million
you don't want to brag about that since both are almost tie
and uncharted 3 had the better reviews and won sh1t TONS of GOTY awards
over 70+ GOTY award and all the Gfx awards
while gears 3 won nothing of the sort

and i love how you guys run to sales as it have anything to do with quality
you must think wiisport and COD are the best games this gen
and if you play sales game
you admit then that GT5 is much better than forza 3/4/H because of sales....right ?!

I wouldn't exactly say that, there is a chance we'll see a last one or two revealed at E3, with Microsoft nearing 80 million Xbox 360's sold, they might want to keep the momentum going. Wouldn't count out seeing Halo 2 Anniversary.

I see your point but don't completely agree with you. It would have been ok if they didnt make Judgement and waited for next gen for the next Geow. Three Geow and three UC is more than enough for this gen ... another UC game on PS3 and it would been one UC game too many just like Geow Judgement.

As for GOW, I'll say I'll give it a pass since it's only the second one this gen but yes the formula has been tried and tested already.

@LordHiggens & SuperLupe Oh, so God of War 3 had a fully featured MULTIPLAYER component, world-weapons system, tether mechanic, promptless mini-games, free form climbing, life cycle magic, new Rage mechanics, wonder-tech etc... Not to mention the new composer and the new art-style, enemies, allies and environments. Why don't people do some research before talking out of their ass?

God of War: Ascension has changed A LOT, more so than 95% of sequels/prequels in huge franchises this generation. As you said it's also only the second GoW this generation and it's releasing 3 years after GoW3.

Uncharted 3 is a carbon copy of Uncharted 2 except not as good and Gears of War: Judgment is releasing far too soon after Gears of War 3, little is known about the single player component to say if it's evolved much but the multiplayer has taken a huge step back, I hear it doesn't even have a horde mode!

@Tontus, allow me to summarize any GoW, including this upcoming one. Kratos gets angry, Kratos gets more powerful, Kratos kills everyone...the end. There you go I saved you 60 bucks. Also, get your filthy multiplayer out of GoW...no one wants that the game has done just fine without it. I hate games forcing in multiplayer...I hate multiplayer. I want a good single player campaign that makes we want to replay it over and over. Not listen to angry college fratboys freaking out over their lack of skill in a game. This is of course my opinion I know I'm in the minority when it comes to multiplayer but, Uncharted didn't need it, Mass Effect didn't need it, and GoW doesn't need it.

This is the only franchise that really made me grab a 360 & prolly the only 360 exclusive online that i would wished came to the ps3 since i havent renewed my xbl account. It is alot of fun online. Hope this one doesnt disappointment with the absent of cliffy b.

Funny thing is, that xbox fanboy guy from yesterday was marked as spam for every comment. I kept trying to bubble him down, which didn't work, but we ended up succeeding in reporting him like 50 times lol.

Too bad the mods only do their job when it comes to certain platform trolls. Coming from more of a Sony guy, this site is just annoying and downright childish 99% of the time.
