Clickonline writes "Dead Space is an action game now. True enough it’s been on this warpath since 2011. Still, Dead Space 3 was in such a rush to jump genres, replacing tension with guns and fear with MORE GUNS, EA and Visceral may not have appreciated the regicide they were committing.
Dead Space was the undisputed king of Gaming Horror.
The King is Dead."
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
Dead space has always been a action horror franchise to me
I'm half way through the game (chapter 10) and I have no idea why reviewers keep on saying strategic dismemberment does not matter anymore. I've playing the game with a plasma cutter and line gun/ripper and haven't felt the need to change to the new weapons like a shotgun or machine gun.
Overall, the demo does not represent the game at all imo. Unless the end chapters are super action heavy this game has just as much horror as Dead Space 2 to me. You go through long stretches of isolation and enclosed spaces and then have a action set piece like the tram in Dead Space 2. The planet has a snow storm half the time so the area does not feel open either. The chapter after the prologue gave me a very bad feeling (it was the only chapter with human enemies so far) but after that it started to feel like Dead Space again.
