Ripstone: "Vita is the best dedicated handheld gaming device"

Digitally Downloaded writes: "Ripstone is a fairly new publisher on the scene. It had its breakout hit with Pure Chess on the PlayStation Vita and PS3, and has since published a wide range of quality digital titles – from the gorgeous Kyntt Underground to the Wolfenstein throwback, Gun Commando.

This success as a startup publisher comes despite a difficult market for publishers - see the demise of THQ. And, even more interestingly, Ripstone is seeing its greatest success on the PlayStation Vita – a platform that many dismiss because of poor market penetration."

.......it shows Vita is the best and in stores ;-)

Pretty sure the guys are talking about it being the best in application, here.

The Vita is doing good business for some organisations. Such as this one. That and they like playing their Vitas.

Ubisoft was really pleased with the 600,000 sales of liberation. RE relevations has also sold something like that with almost 15 mil 3ds owners , vita has like 3 milj? so 1/5 of the vita owners picked up this game. That is pretty impresive. I have almost 13 games on it ;) more than on my ps3 ( I prefer handheld gaming) and on my 3ds just ocarina of time and paper mario.-_-

The Vita was created for the hardcore so its normal that many people who bought the Vita are going to have a decent collection of games on it. This is the main reason why both Assasins Creed and Uncharted managed to sell 600k units on an install base of 3 million consoles while like you said Resident Evil manage to sell the same amount on an install base of 20 million handhelds. I feel bad for Revelations sales though because its truly a great Resident Evil game and its a shame that it didn't sell more.

Inb4denial and inb4demsales. If only the Vita had Nintendogs to show off its power.

Edit: All joking aside I would like Sonydogs Maltipoo edition on that stunning OLED.

it's a great handheld, very crisp and clear screen, very nice graphics (for a handheld) being closer to PS3 than PSP was to PS2 in my opinion. it also has a very good web browser that is much better than the 3DS's, youtube is also very good on it.

My only complaint on it is the fact the OLED screen isn't perfect as such, in a very dim or dark room you can see dark patches in the back of the screen which can be a bit irritating since you know it's always there. But it's nothing too serious. You only really see it on dark/black screens anyway.

Other than that, very nice handheld and very comfortable to hold with it's rounded sides, no slipping of the control sticks like on the 3DS.

I'm glad to see that the indie developers are doing well on the handheld, despite its slow growth. The majority of what I play on Vita are indie titles any ways, so the more the merrier.

Great interview!

Great system.
Great library of games, already.
Great features.

Little advertising.
Customer confusion.
High price point...except that people spend $400 on an iPod Touch. -_-
No must-own title for casual gamers. Sony has EVERY type of gamer covered, except casual. Even then, they have plenty of great indie titles...but people don't know about them. :/
