N4G Deals: Aliens: Colonial Marines $37, ArmA 2 Combined Operation $12 + Free PC Games This Weekend!

Welcome to the first edition of N4G Deals, where our friends from Dealzon find you the best gaming deals from across the web. The post features everything from PC digital downloads to titles for the 360 and PS3. While most of our deals are curated from US retailers, we will occasionally feature digital download deals also redeemable in other regions.

Fans of Gearbox software will also want to take a look at Aliens: Colonial Marines, currently available at Green Man Gaming for only $37.50. The Season Pass is already available for pre-order as well, currently at $20.25 for the US (and also available in the UK). While full details for Colonial Marine's Season Pass haven't been released yet, if the campaigns are anything like what Gearbox did with Borderlands 2, fans should be well served. Thus far, the sole confirmed DLC is a “Bug Hunt” add-on, valued at $14.99 according to Walmart.

If you still haven't played DayZ yet and don't want to wait for the stand-alone version, GameFly has ArmA 2: Combined Operations for $11.99. This is the new lowest price we've found for the package. Combined Operations comes with ArmA 2 plus Operation Arrowhead - both required components to play the popular zombie apocalypse mod DayZ.

Owners of PS3s will want to check out the Final Fantasy Anniversary sale on the PlayStation Network, featuring most popular titles for 50% off. Check the bottom of the deals list for full details on the titles available, but suffice it to say some good nostalgia will be had. (FF Tactics for $5 anyone?)

Editors Note:

If you're wondering about the Dead Space 3 thumbnail... this deal post previously listed Dead Space 3 for $48 from Gamefly. Unfortunately Gamefly caught their coupon woopsie and expired the deal early. Sorry! There's still Colonial Marines for a great price though :D http://www.dealzon.com/deal...

Double_O_Revan4092d ago

"N4G Deals: Dead Space 3 at $48, Aliens: Colonial Marines for $37"

Link title on N4G. So wheres Dead Space? and Newegg doesn't have it at that price either. Thanks for tricking me here.

dealzon4092d ago

Actually if you checked the note, that deal is now dead unfortunately. We've already changed the title in the blog post but it hasn't reflected it on the front page... sorry about that!

Having said that, given Dead Space 3 has been on sale before, we suspect it'll go on sale again in near future from any of the popular retailer.

akiraburn4092d ago (Edited 4092d ago )

Just as a heads-up, there's actually an even better deal going on for Aliens: Colonial Marines on PC at "GetGamesGo.com". They currently have the pre-order priced at $38.50, but if you use the coupon code "LV-426" it drops it down to $30. You still get the pre-order bonus rifle, and after ordering you should receive a Steam Activation code in your email within several hours. I already received mine from them in order to start pre-loading the game. You can also get the season pass for $24 from there, but it seems like GreenManGaming would be a better option for the Season pass if you can still get it $20 from there.

dealzon4092d ago

Nice tip on GetGames having Colonial Marines for $30. I'll edit the post to include that.

DragonKnight4092d ago

Ok, so does N4G have a partnership with dealzon.com or something? I only ask because when a normal member would post something like this, it would rightly be marked as spam because, you know, blogs aren't supposed to be advertising stuff but I see that a Network Manager approved this so is the blog section now going to be overrun with people selling their wares and essentially become a new ad zone?

coolbeans4091d ago

I can imagine it being rather infuriating for posters see their blog lose chances at conversation when "N4G Deals" and other site announcements take up the front page spots (currently 2 out of the 3).

Perhaps our n4g overlords can look into designating a special section for things like this.

DragonKnight4091d ago (Edited 4091d ago )

Agreed. I was going to report this as soon as I saw it because it was just like all the other self-promoting blogs that have been surfacing these past few days, but then I saw that big number 10 after the one approval that it got and knew something was up. Sure enough a Network Manager approved the blog meaning no report would matter and that seems very unfair to everyone else who has to go through the process.

There are already plenty of ads on the site as it is, I don't really think we need any more.

Thanks for the "GetGamesGo" tip, just pre-ordered and it activated on steam right away.

Review - The Epyx Collection: Handheld (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I’m not going to say that The Epyx Collection: Handheld is an easy recommendation, but it’s a fantastic opportunity for retro gaming enthusiasts to experience a few hidden gems which had previously only been available on a very obscure, but very underrated portable system. You may think this collection is a waste of time because nobody (aside from me and half a dozen other weirdos) owned a Lynx back in the day, but games like Gates of Zendocon and Blue Lightning are still amazing, more than 35 years later. Absolute classics aren’t the only games that deserve a second chance and preservation on modern systems. Obscure titles you had never even heard of before also deserve some love, and this collection delivers on this aspect."

Indies have been great over the years.

I'll say late May for Sony. It was rumored it'll be next month as well.
