Crytek today revealed details of how itscutting-edge CRYENGINE game development technology will power the newly-announcedreal-time movie production software, Film Engine.
YouTube’s ‘club4ghz’ has released two videos, showcasing the performance difference between CRYENGINE V and CRYENGINE 3, as well as the performance difference between CRYENGINE V’s DX11 and DX12 modes.
CE5 has a higher framerate but CE3 looks better at times...
I guess this is because CE5 is just supposed to be a Cryengine for VR and not much more

So in other words they want to be able to continue doing crappy coding and be able to just let the hardware make up for their short falls?
Crytek don't do crappy programming.
Their engine is realtime. Not pre-baked crap. Hence it takes power to run.
Your asking for a power engine to run on old hardware.
The beta runs @ 60fps on my pc.
And I've just been accepted for the beta of warface, d/l now.
