I remember rockstar also hyped gta4 saying its a amazing game and look how bad that game came out to be. Let me play gta5 first and than decide if is a good game or not

Starfox174094d ago

Not buying it who cares ?????????GTA4 WAS RUBBISH.

Psychotica4094d ago

Who cares? Who doesn't other than you?

ShugaCane4094d ago (Edited 4094d ago )

If Rockstar realized they disappointed once, they won't disappoint twice. This ain't Square Enix we are talking about.

deafdani4094d ago

Except they didn't exactly disappoint with GTA IV. Yes, there are people that didn't like the more serious tone of this game, but overall, it was very well received by critics and main public alike. Regardless of the tone, it still felt distinctly GTA, and it was still an extremely well done game.

ILive4094d ago

Gta 4 fell distinctly boring if that is what you are trying to say.

NukaCola4093d ago

I too wasn't a fan of GTA IV. I thought the gameplay was very repetitive and the story was too depressing. GTA always had a mix of realism and comedy and GTA IV didn't really go above soviet emo. However, I have enjoyed the 3 previous GTAs and was bonkers for Chinatown Wars and Red Dead Redemption; also loved Bully. Rockstar has shown us they can deliver and I think GTA V will bring back everything we loved about the series, plus it's going to innovate the genre for future open world games like this. I am not worried. As Karmic said, it's R* not Square...Those jackasses have done everything to disappoint us on an almost weekly basis.

koehler834094d ago

I care. I am buying it. I quite enjoyed GTA4.

You think your opinion is the sole basis on which a game and its developer are judged?

sway_z4094d ago (Edited 4094d ago )

@starfox17

I see you have taken time out from gaming on your Wii to make a comment on a game you have absolutely no interest in?

...makes perfect sense ;/

Y_51504094d ago

That insult was not needed. The Wii is cool.

RickHiggity4094d ago

One Not as great game out of a series of some of the greatest open world games. So what? I'll play it and probably enjoy it. No one is forcing you to buy it.

Starfox174093d ago

Just GTA4 with much improved graphics ?? not interested even though it really does look impressive and the world looks interesting but once ive done the missions and been around the game world a hundred times i'm bored.

Much prefer games with skill like racing games and adventure games like Metroid or Zelda with puzzle solving ect and to be honest that Lego City looks more interesting with 290 different characers to collect ie firemen and fishermen to a robber all with slapstick humour and with DLC as u can see with the retail box it will prob be getting added missions and what not,i'll be happy on that game and it's out march ?

Software_Lover4094d ago (Edited 4094d ago )

I know that I will be able to buy it on Steam, but I hope it comes with GFWL just for achievements, lol. I have the 360 and pc version of GTA 4 but I probably will not do it again with 5 because I rarely game on my consoles anymore, 360 or ps3.

PhantomT14124094d ago

Steam has achievements now too. And I'm pretty sure Rockstar has its own achievements system through the "Social Club" anyway...

Software_Lover4093d ago

I still want them linked to my xbox live account. GFWL is the way to do that.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing694h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos3h ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming
