Xbox 360 vs PS3: 2013 exclusives comparison

Here is a comparison of all the PS3 and Xbox 360 exclusives slated for release something in 2013. While the 360 has more exclusive games coming out, the PS3's lineup is actually much stronger.

EIGHT xbla games?? That is pure laziness from Microsoft..

how many times can they treat Xbox gamers this way? First kinect shovelware now this..

I think the way Microsoft are treating the core gamers who helped them take significant marketshare from Sony is disgusting.

StrongMan4090d ago (Edited 4090d ago )

Exactly. They had to scramble to put together XBLA titles that no one heard of to make a list of exclusives to compete with the list of 8 PS3 full retail exclusives.

MS's few core fans that they have left think that they are getting a bunch of new core IPs for next gen but they will be disappointed when they find out MS is only working on Kinect new IPs and they will only give core gamers the usual Halo/Gears/Forza.

Gears of War Judgement isn't garnering any attention or hype and that's scary for MS.

theBAWSE4090d ago

I'm just so surprised Xbox still has a fanbase if I'm honest...ms abandoned the original Xbox for the 360 and now history is repeating itself...

just think over the last couple years what exclusives have ms sanctioned?

I'm pretty sure gears/halo/forza won't keep gamers on board for ever there comes a time when enough is enough as strongman says what hype is there for the new gears?

Microsoft need to treat the core gamers with the respect they deserve instead of mugs

007Bond4090d ago

To be fair PS3 only has the last of us, that's all thats really interesting left. Metal gear is coming to XBOX and Uncharted, God of war, killzone are all being copy/paste sequels.

smashcrashbash4090d ago

Then shouldn't you count any PSN games too if you are also counting XBLA games?

azazel6654090d ago

There were no exclusive PSN games coming out in 2013 that I could find.

firelogic4090d ago

Should add MLB'13 The Show.

Aggesan4090d ago

Dust 514 will be a psn exclusive.

LOGICWINS4090d ago

Pretty sure Until Dawn is another PSN/PS3 exclusive.

BitbyDeath4090d ago (Edited 4090d ago )

Until Dawn is on the list. (Second last PS3 title)

Unless that was just added recently :-/

creatchee4090d ago

Exactly, smashcrashbash. Journey is one of the best games in a long time and it was a PSN release. I don't know why people think.that a game has to come in a box to be great.

LOGICWINS4090d ago

@BitbyDeath- The list was edited several minutes before you commented to include Until Dawn, Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk, and Hyperdemsion Neptunia Victory.

BitbyDeath4090d ago (Edited 4090d ago )

I hope we get Plants vs Zombies 2 as a PSN game.
I can't think of any confirmed PSN exclusive games for this year. Was some rumours about Dead Nation 2 though and likely we'll see another Pixel Junk game unless they're working on nextgen stuff.

@Logic, thanks just thought of that after i posted so added an edit after. :-)

This guy forgot about Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk and Hyperdemsion Neptunia Victory

LOGICWINS4090d ago

Theres also a POSSIBILITY that Yakuza 5 will come to the U.S and Europe this year, but it hasn't been confirmed. In addition, there are likely more PS3/PSN exclusive games coming out this year that haven't been announced yet.

ThePsychoGamer4090d ago

I really hope we do get Yakuza 5 this year, the game looks amazing.

firelogic4090d ago

The list is missing MLB'13 The Show

plaZeHD4090d ago

The Last Of Us better than everything, done and done for me.

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil3d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai3d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing692d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa2d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

boing12d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
