Dealspwn: "We've been playing the MGR: Revengeance demo on repeat for the last week, and it made us think back to some of the other stellar hack and slash titles that the 3D era has gifted us. Time was when hack'n'slash referred to dungeon crawlers, but now it tends to encapsulate action titles fundamentally built around combat against multiple enemies at once. Here we shall find the industry's premier button mashers, reams of combo lists, and bushels of fast-paced, impossibly balletic, ego-boosting action..."
Is Capcom justified in releasing the game with 21 downloadable items?
all which you can earn IN THE GAME BY PLAYING.. sheesh.. people need to chill and stop trippin'.
capcom has done this with every resi game since 2, with devil may cry 4 and 5.
we should be complaining about the poor Performance
I'll be handing out homework In the form of research on the essence of the boiling frog syndrome because the comments already are afflicted with this.
*Performance comment Is spot on 5+ points.
Accepting that these publishers have these types of mtx In games Is tiring, "well, they've done it with their other IP" so should we accept it? Your acceptance of it happening is ruining gaming, just to make it clear.
But it's okay though, you can earn the stuff ingame. 🙃
Having not actually played the game, but only heard about what microtransactions are on offer, no. Dragon's Dogma 2 has not taken microtransactions too far. I think a game would have to go to extraordinary lengths to qualify for the statement 'taken microtransactions too far.'
I mean, I remember a rant from yonks ago (Dungeon Keeper mobile) which, just from memory, went WAY further than Dragon's Dogma 2, with literal days of waiting to mine a single block, and a huge price mark-up to advance.
So, no, Dragon's Dogma 2 hasn't gone 'too far.'
Over the last 25 years, there has been a fair few South Park games, and here GameSpew has ranked them all from best to worst.
We are going to see a lot of crap South Park products since they sold out to paramount years ago. It's their IP they can sell out, of course; it just means the quality of their show has tanked and other products as well. Nevertheless, they put on excellent musicals, but those haven't been sold to a mega corporation.
Game Rant chats with the creator of No More Heroes about who he would like to see play the role of Travis Touchdown in a live-action adaptation.
Actually Ryan Gosling makes a ton of sense.
Edit: If this can be done in a Scott Pilgrim movie kind of way that would be dope.
agreed Bayonetta is the best hack and slash ever!
oh man..that combat system was sublime!!!
I feel like playing Heavenly Sword again.... El Shaddai is pretty fun to but it may not be for everyone! I think people should give it a try I snagged it for 20 bucks :D

I'd like a new Onimusha game, but with Capcoms current track record it's probably best the series doesn't make a return.
I would like to see a heavenly sword 2, but i don't think that would happen. :(
Got to disagree. The Hack and Slash title belongs to Kratos, The God of War. He will rise up and reclaim what is rightfully his in God of War Ascension.
