Control was my GOTY. RE2 followed close behind.

MasterCornholio1519d ago

RE2 was the only one that I've played of the two and it's pretty great for a remake.

Smokehouse1519d ago

If you like TPS you will like control. Ripping Chunks of the floor out and tossing it feels good. Its just fun gameplay wise. It’s also a weird abstract story but in a good way. The building is the best character like rapture in bioshock. The protagonist is purposefully dull but the actor did a good job.

Fist4achin1519d ago (Edited 1519d ago )

Agreed. Once you grasped the controls of Control, it was great fun!

I kind of felt the fungus parts could have been cut and made into a separate game entirely.

I never understood the point of announcing a GOTY since it's subjective to each gamer's own tastes. It's like announcing that blue is the best color.

Double_O_Revan1519d ago

The Oscars, VMAs, Car awards, etc, it's the same deal. But people always seem to care and put a lot of weight on them.

God Of War Wins Big At NAVGTR

The awards keep piling in. God of War, PlayStation Win Big at 18th Annual NAVGTR Awards.

italiangamer1869d ago

Damn Sony overall won 23 awards, what the hell hahaha.

Garethvk1869d ago

It was a big day for them. They have had a good year with titles so now all eyes go to Days Gone.

ArchangelMike1869d ago

I'm really looking forward to Days Gone, but let's get real - it is just not in the same league as God of War.

solideagle1869d ago

Days gone will not be as big as GOW but if it becomes like Horizon in terms of new IP that would be cool.

nucky641869d ago

as good a game as i've played in my 40+ years of gaming.

Potnoodle9991869d ago

Absolute masterpiece. Games like this are the reason I still game

Another epic win! Passion for games... For the players!

Remember the PS4 promise at the start of the generation? "Greatness Awaits"

Sony delivered on that promise and with games as Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding and The Last of Us 2 coming, greatness still await us.

bluefox7551899d ago

Probably game of the gen tbh. It's really that good.

Dreamcatcher451899d ago

It is for me. It might be beaten by TloU 2 though.

BoneMagnus1899d ago

It’s a toss up between GOW and Bloodborne for me.

Relientk771899d ago

God of War and Spider-Man both deserve it. Absolutely fantastic games

Nyxus1899d ago

Yeah, and also good to see Detroit get some recognition.
